  1. The remains of my 4th and final slicktop were loaded up and shipped out on Friday last week. It's been a blast but time to move on............
  2. There is no cable its an electronic speed sensor in the gearbox .
  3. Is it a TT or an NA???
  4. Cheers Andy. I have two pass side switches with arrows complete and a drivers side too. I will get them all up for sale when I get time.
  5. Time to dig up an oldish thread as Jakai suggested.......!! Is it rare?? Or just "uncommon"???
  6. Agreed. Awesome stopping power on track too. High boiling point fluid and trackday pads. Used mine for several years with this set up. Just sold them almost instantly. Getting harder to find these days.
  7. This club has always had a diverse range of opinions as to which is the best car in the range. Long may that diversity and discussion continue.
  8. I personally hate targas sunroofs and convertibles in any make. Always have done and always will. They are all the work of the devil. Tintops rule for me. Im going to miss my slicktops (had 4) but I have moved on.
  9. It is very common in the USA. hundreds of them still exist.. A good few here too. Ifti has three. Bob Dion still has his. James Morgan too I think. Mike Sandford sold his drift version but its still being used and others....
  10. Its more than strange. Its annoying and completely uncalled for..?
  11. You have probably bought one now!! Lets hope you bought a Setrab or a Mocal brand! As opposed to the coloured shiny ones from China on Ebay!
  12. No Gaz there is no sadness. I have had a huge amount of fun with this car. I saved it from the crusher back in the day , built it up in to my car. Met lots of great people. Old age eventually catches up with you and the car is now too big and heavy for me to look after it and drive it like I used to. The car will be carefully taken apart and many other owners both new and long standing will get parts to use and enjoy. Nothing will be wasted.
  13. Calling time on the slicktop. So there will be a lot of stuff up for sale over the next 6 months.
  14. Time for an update!!! I havnt driven my slicktop since that day? Im now using my ZR on track and enjoying it as much as the slicktop.. I have decided to call time on it. So it will be unbuilt this summer. Its been a great car. I have enjoyed building it. I have done dozens of 1/4miles in it and countless laps on track but its time to move on. Here are a couple of pics of the new track car
  15. Hi John, again! As I said earler to you there are a few old faces and Im one of the oldest!!!?
  16. I like that plan.:thumbup1: Solid colour is a cheaper route paintwise. It allows the use of 2K gloss straight outta the gun. No need for lacquer.
  17. There are alays people in the motortrade who will do cheap resprays. A quick mask up. DA sand over and blow some paint on. A good respray is another matter altogether. To do a good colour change is a long tedious process if you want it done properly ie engine bay, inside returns on all panels etc. And long tedious process end up expensive. In the real world nobody gives a toss what you do. Its your car to modify however you want. JFDI.
  18. +1 Bri. It's way beyond my comprehension. As a fairly small club we are lucky to have someone like Lee on board to take on these tasks.:thumbup1:
  19. I have 64mm lettering on mine. Front and rear. Not sure about the legality but I think they "look" right for the car.
  20. . Get rid of the whole ABS shizzle at the same time.
  21. Give Luke a call......He is on your doorstep!
  22. Did you lubricate the lip of the seal with oil before fitting it??
  23. Yep. I am "some folk" and I am missing the point. Maybe Im the only one?? Who knows!!
