  2. ....Leaving canvey island, via saddlers farm about 15:30 today. Only got a glimpse out of the corner of my eye but looked like you had "300zx" in large graphics on the side of car! Very nice!
  3. What a great thread - (various personal attacks aside - wtf is THAT about?!) Surely we all want the same thing here, which is to increase our understanding and share the knowledge to better our enjoyment of the zed. Personally, I'm sick of the zed being erroneously considered as the poor relation to other cars of similar vintage - no doubt this is part of the reason why the zed value is on the floor ATM. I am also amazed that the sort of discussion contained within this thread hasn't been bottomed out years ago! If it hasn't, that's actually pretty exciting for us - so why not embrace the potential with open arms and minds and see where it goes!? I say "nice one" to those that are pushing the Boundaries, and are generous enough to let us in on what they are up to.
  4. Thanks guys, appreciate the advice.
  5. Hi guys, Knowing how emotive the subject of oil can be, does anyone have any advice / recommendations regarding the rear diff oil? I have a tt diff at the moment which needs refilling, but I also have an na diff which I will be fitting ( at some point!) Can I use the same oil that in the manual gear box? Thanks!
  6. Hi Taff, I have had sonos for a few years. Frankly I love them! The sound is great for the size of the units ( I have play 5s) and you can pair them if you need more presence. I also have zp90 and the sound through the hi if is awesome. I'm sure you will love them!
  7. mines been off the road since before SORN!!! however long that is! :) but she is nearly there now (isnt that what everyones is saying?! Hmmm)
  8. If you get stuck, I know an outstanding welder, if he can't do - it basically can't be done! He is mobile as well, so can come to you. Pm me if you need his details.
  9. Mate, I feel for you... I had to have a very serious op recently - one of those ones that might affect life significantly - and to cut a long story short I was literally getting off the train in London on the day of the operation ( having psyched myself up, said the right things to my kids, family and friends and work colleagues... - if you know what I mean) only to be told the op was cancelled .... ! I then waited a week on tenter hooks whilst they rescheduled the op - only to have it delayed 3 months.... Absolutely horrible.... Having said that - once out of the bureaucracy and in efficiency of the administration and into the hands of the medical professionals it was a totally different story. I Can't fault the medical staff of the royal London nhs absolutely first class.... I'm sure you will be fine once you get through all he admin crap... Incidentally, there is a code of conduct that states the maximum that you have to wait for treatment, including the reschedule after a cancelled op... If they mess you around again you can refer to this and demand they fit you in. Nothing else for it but to keep you spirits up in the mean time. Good luck!

  15. Andy - ill have a crack at fixing the ECUs if there is no-one else around offering this! 18. As per title, does anyone know the thickness of the shim needed to allow the starter gear to properly mesh with the flywheel ring gear? Research suggests there is a shim plate available but does anyone know where from? Alternatively, I have seen it suggested to use some washers as spacers - but how many / how thick? Thanks!
