  1. BTW - would a faulty or badly set up TPS cause non starting?
  2. Thanks Guys - I realise my description of the situation was somewhat vague! The context as to why I didn't check some of the obvious stuff was that I had reached my curfew and had to call it a night plus I rarely get a chance to spend time on the car, and the workshop is isolated, so I wanted to have a comprehensive list of stuff to check next time im down there. My primary concern was re the cable harness change from auto to manual, but I think I can rule that out now (at least until the basics are sorted) Excellent advice - especially from Jeff - thanks so much for the info and affirmation that the best place to start is the basics (of course!). I will do so as soon as I get a chance and no doubt report back! Cheers all!! :)
  3. Hi guys, I have a problem and don't know what to do next! I have been tinkering in my workshop for ages, slowly rebuilding my swb TT manual conversion. Today I hit the starter for the first time in, well several years, and unsurprising it didn't start. ? I have fuel pressure at the rail, but it doesn't catch or fire at all. My suspicion is no ignition, but honestly it could be anything.. I have changed many things since it last ran - lots of deletes, etc. I have fitted a selin dual air flow adapter and a z1 chip to match. I have also changed the entire loom (brand new from z1) - the car was originally an auto converted to manual, but I ordered a manual 90 TT loom to replace the knackered old one! I also get 16 fast flashes of the power light - I recall that this indicates that an error code is stored in the ecu? So, in essence, my problem is where to start in diagnosing the problem (or problems) Any help or suggestions gratefully received! Thanks!
  4. All quiet on canvey island.... Michael Fish: "Earlier on today apparently a woman rang the BBC and said she had heard that there was a hurricane on the way. Well if you are watching, don't worry, there isn't." Ron Burgundy: Um, Brick, before I let you go, are you still having your celebrity golf tournament? Brick Tamland: Um, no, no. Too many people died last year, so we're not gonna.
  5. Hi guys, I have a 3d laser scanner that can produce detailed cad files from an object, which can then be fed into a cad programme for modification or direct to a 3 d printer. If anyone wants to collaborate on a few parts to see how viable this is get in touch...! M
  6. Can I be a maybe?! Won't be in a zed regretably but would be nice to meet a few faces!
  7. But whoever won wanted the brackets and hw because I asked seller if he would sell them to me if the buyer didn't need them - so probably are going onto a zed....
  8. I was watching them, but thought they were a bit rich, especially as they are the obsolete versions....
  9. Good luck mate - it WILL be worth it in the end - even though it may not seem like it sometimes at the moment... But Just hang in there and keep fighting.

  19. I had a good experience with them - complicated order to be sent to my villa in Florida. There was a screw up but they fixed it and got me the replacement part fine...
  20. Looked to me like the bike was keeping up just fine in pt 1. I'd also leave a bigger stopping distance as the speed got high, otherwise youd be in his boot before even reacting if he hit the anchors really hard! the bike would leave the car for dust at lower speeds ;)
  21. I did a visual Inspection of the pcbs and parts and they looked identical to me (other than eprom of course) i checked on here And i was told its ok to interchange them (once eprom is changed) except that the na ecu wouldn't provide the 7psi safety boost - not a problem if using an external boost controller anyway. I plan to use a previously na chipped ecu on my tt with a tt EPROM. M
  22. Well said steams - they look after us, and we look after them! Perfik!
