  1. The skin needs to be feathered out quite far to make sure there is no lump halfway down the panel. The one i did before this had a rear window instead of a tailgate tub from memory this was blended all the way up to the window.
  2. heres a pic of my last one,Forget the tub they are a nightmare and the copy strosek ones need loads of work!
  3. Thats really funny and a bit too honest. Its got to be a wind up on one of his mate or something!!!
  4. The perspex strip is much less hassle, The lower skin looks good done but get a spare tailgate to fit it to then once finished and painted. I have done two of these now and they have both taken alot longer than expected!
  5. Now thats what im talking about!!!!
  6. Has anybody seen any really unusual (unchessey)body mods to a zed?. I not really talking about any aftermarket parts. More hand crafted sheet metal and imagination than stick on vents and spoilers. Shouldnt be to long now before the next z32 all my jobs around the home are almost done, just need to change the family car then there should be another z32 on the drive! I do need some inspiration though as im tired of looking at the z centre pages for body kits and the same old aftermarket stuff.Apart from the original strosek kit there is nothing that really appeals to me. having real trouble finding parts for my z31 so i guess this may take longer than expected, meanwhile i will need something i can use.
  7. Very very very nice all round. Love the contrast between orange and black in the engine bay.
  8. love the wheels on the silver one too, what sizes and make are they?
  9. I tried to build a 944 with a 968 conversion about 7 years ago i removed all the 944 front end and fitted glass fibre 968 panels. The quality was of the panels was pants nothing lined up properly it was complete crap.I lost interest and gave the car away as i not enough room for that and the z31 id just inherited. The 944 was a really good car though, drove it every day for 2 or 3 years with no problems.
  10. Love that strosek 928, Well retro!
  11. Apparently bulletproof if you find a well cared for one,Strosek do a kit for them too!
  12. Found a real nice one but the big "R" word hit the business really hard, so decided to wait it out for a while! We had to let the db9 go recently too as the bookings didnt cover the depreciation.Insurance a real problem for me as i have gained 11 points! so cant do the chauffer driving. and im not even a really fast driver! Crafty wannabe cops with cameras!!!
  13. design perfection!
  14. I do like it but prefer the clean lines of this!
  15. Was lucky enough to have a weekend job driving grooms to weddings in a db9 for the last four years! 11 penalty points now so cant drive it anymore!! gutted.
  16. Love any new aston,Class!
  17. Its good to be different but different isnt allways good!
  18. toftdale, thats looks real nice! the sides look cool very different.
  19. Hi Jase, im in the same boat with the z31 parts, let me know if you find anywhere.
  20. I really hate to say the actual amount but i was desperate, It had no mot and tax and needed a service. I swapped it for a tidy t&t 306 cab so i could shift it quicker. It ended up just over 2 grand! I spent more than that on it! ironic really as i sold it to raise money to get planning permision to build a house on the side of my house. Guess what permission refused! Twice! So pointless selling it at all. I had a buyer for my house with the planning permission that would have set us up financially so i surpose it was worth a shot at the time?? not so sure now
  21. Thanks for the welcome murt, I will do even if it without the car for now! Once work picks up a bit and ive got some dosh i will probably see if jimmer can do a rebuild or something, It needs a lot of work so not a weekend job!
  22. Hi there, I have fitted one of these, Great fun! Not! done right it looks great but bugger to do. after grinding the panel to bond the spoiler, you will need to blend and feather out the filler all the way back towards thr quater window otherwise you will get a bump,
  23. I had the choice of 18s and 19s on my tt before i sold it.I chose the 18s and regretted it massively the whole time. Plenty of speed bumps around where i live so couldnt go any lower due to front bumper hitting.I will probably go 19 or 20 on my z31 as the 18s i tried on that didnt seem to fill the arches either.
