  1. Thanks for the welcome Craig tt, I will get some pics on soon (it doesnt look much at the mo)and its covered in cardboard boxes!! Difficult to get parts for this car so its gonna be a slow process i think.
  2. Me old dear had a silver 350z it was great. She had no where to keep it so kept it at my place. I got to use it most of the time, while my tt was off the road.Bugger!! It was great but at the time was depreciating rapidly. It lost 7k in 15 months! so worried about loosing any more she hastally traded it in for a boxster. She sold the boxster to me in the end as she never used that either!! Wish i bought the 350 as i would still have it now.
  3. Hi daveb1971 thanks for the welcome.
  4. Hi Yewcheck, Im Based in bishopsworth bristol, The 260 was owned by my uncle(as i was too young to drive back then) it started electric blue with wolfrace slots and loads of 70s pinstripes then ended up white with a 1 piece targa one off bodykit and a janspeed turbo conversion(that never worked properly so was eventually removed) I did go to a couple of meets with the old man in the z31 early 90s but thats about it. Also there were two of my dads mates that had red 240zeds converted to small block chevy power. One had ferrari taillights. Both were really clean. One was found to be the car used in one of the haynes manuals,The owner was considering putting it back to original as he was informed it could be quite valueble ir returned to stock, Im not sure if he ever did.
  5. Thats the one!, spotted from a distance then went for a quick look.Stood out like a sore thumb in amongst a sea of dull boring cars and concrete!!!! Love the interior.
  6. Bright yellow sorted zed, Parked in redcliffe near temple meads station.Nice
  7. Dark blue z, Driving along the portway under suspension bridge,Lunchtime.
  8. Thanks for the welcome gary, Im in no rush to do the z31 as i want it to be right so will be a while before its street legal and usable.
  9. isyss, Sorry mate the zed has been sold for a while now, It went for silly money,Had it back to repair and repaint the front bumper a while back, bugger wouldnt sell it back to me!
  10. Darren, i would love too but she aint having any of it! Tried telling her our new baby would love it and grow up to be a z enthusiast! she politely declined! What a surprise! Once ive finished decorating the whole house and got her a chelsea tractor i can do what i want! She will regret that statement! So i think i will be getting my z31 done before another z32 turns up on my drive!
  11. Hi Old zed, apart from the battery being flat it does actually still start, Running rough though! How are you?
  12. This car was for sale on a forecout in bristol about ten years ago. (i think its the same car) fell in love with it sraightaway!! Have lusted for a strosek z ever since. It was out of reach for me at the time at over 10k or i would have had it! would buy it now but first baby on the way and the wife wants a suv! Im not going to win this one! Bought the last z on the sneak so she nagged like fooook about it the whole time!
  13. Thanks isyss, regret selling it now, will do another eventually, once my retro z31 is on the road. Really love the front end on the z in your profile pic.
  14. Thanks pablito, Regret selling it now!!! Was skint so had to go! will do another one day but a proper strosek wide arch version.
  15. Hi, As you probably already found out soaking the headlights in a sink full of hot water will separate the glass from the headlight unit.(NO SCREWDRIVERS!) unless you want a broken lense!I didnt fit new inserts on mine when i had it but did dismantle them to colour code the existing inserts. I used bodykit sealent to re seal them it did the job ok.
  16. Front view of my old z. Sadly due to lack of funds and a huge mortgage i had to sell shortly after these pics. A bit gutted really after all the bodywork i did on the car. Both sides were taking back to bare metal due to the amount of dings and ripples.Swage lined filled, sills reshaped, tailgate tub was very rough so had to lay sheet fibreglass over the joins and skim the whole lot.Loads of rubbing down!!!! took weeks!! My first attempt at painting a car and i was silly enough to choose a 3 stage pearl! I messed it up the first time with contaminated paint so had to rub it down and paint it again.I did say i would never do this again but hey time to do the z31!
  17. See if this works!! Thanks Chris
  18. Hi pbryant knight, thanks for the welcome.Got some pics somewhere on my old pc,Must get around to getting them off and on to this pc. Car is nothing to look at as it is.It was met grey but i painted it black with a red metalflake looked great in the garage but turned brown in sunlight!!!! So flatted it down and paint is jet black!!! Will get some on soon.Lee
  19. Murt, I would post some pics of the silver blue pearl z but dont know how,Help
  20. Hi Jimmer, Buisiness a bit slow at the moment but struggling on!! UMMMM good job were not all the same as alex!!!! Do you think you can do something with my z31. Its been stood so long it needs either a engine swap or a rebuild. Wouldnt mind a tt conversion???? i have seen it done but its a bit tricky for me!!! Have you tried this conversion yet? or could you rebuild the z31na engine ready for a big single turbo?
