I've had a few turbocharged cars over the years, and the 300zx is certainly the quietest when it comes to turbos spooling up. I'm assuming their location and maybe size doesn't really help, but is there anything that can be done to make it louder? My mate said that on his 200sx he got some large bore copper pipe and put it somewhere on the system replacing a rubber pipe (cant remember where!) and the noise echoed through and sounded great. Do you think thats something that can be done on a Z? or am I just being stupid? :online2long:

On my UK model I had to replace the front tension rods as the rubber was worn, and they ripped my tyres to shreds on the inner edges! I have a full set of standard suspension arms if they find anything knackered when its in the air.

If yours is a UK model then it is a Nissan 300zx. The import models are Fairlady Z's. :thumbup:
