  1. Yeah I had one, must still be around somewhere unless I sold it with my old box. Maybe it's that one lol
  2. You won't get 'Prime spot' on the club stand this year... :tt2:
  3. Finally managed to get my clutch bled and working so it's MOT tomorrow and hopefully meet on Saturday. Then next week is a big week for the Z as it is being transformed for the big local show on Sunday 27th and will look totally different.
  4. It is an NA Dave... But it's now got a TT manual box and associated parts fitted.
  5. I haven't done, should I? I have an update and I think I've cracked it this time.... Went round clutching at straws and making sure everything was super-tight, managed to get a couple more turns on the master cylinder nuts and it's now driving and selecting gears. Taking it into work tomorrow ready for an mot late afternoon, fingers crossed it all goes well!
  6. Well bit of an update, but not a good one... Bled the clutch again with a clued up mate rather than the mrs lol, all the air was gone and could select gears, but as soon as the car is started the clutch pedal goes all baggy for the first half of travel and can't select gears unless you really ram it in. Managed to drive up and down the road so it does move but why is it such a difference when the car is started? Haven't bothered with the clutch booster tank behind the wing, just Tee'd off the hose from the brake servo to plenum which I assume is ok. I swapped the master cylinder for another one I had and also changed the slave over as it was a bit wet behind the rubber boot, but still the same problem. The only pipe a hard pipe from the master cylinder down to the bracket on the frame, then a new flexi down to the slave, this was only because I was misled on a hose on eBay so made it work with what I had. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'd love to take it to the Coventry meet but really is looking less and less likely.
  7. Yes mate will be updating it in a mo
  8. Which is a shame Mandy as your Midnight Purple 99 Spec will be the only one there.. I'm not going to be able to make it. Still having problems bleeding my clutch  gutted doesn't even cover it
  9. That's what I'm thinking Neil I'm just not sure how to narrow it down
  10. I can't get my clutch to bleed and it's really grinding me down... Getting to the cov meet is looking less and less likely now :( I can get it bled up with no air coming out and it'll go into every gear, then when I start the car the pressure has gone and can't select any gears. Am I doing something wrong or is there a way of finding what might be letting in air? How is starting the car affecting it?
  11. Thanks Joel. It'd be £700 by the time it gets here! wonder if a LWB would wear it as well as that shortie?
  12. Thanks Taff glad you mentioned NA being different as that's what I've got
  13. That looks awesome. Very M3 CSL-like. Which ones that?
  14. Thanks guys, nice setup zed racer, I can't afford the full DW kit at the mo! Adam are the toe arms the short ones?
  15. In preparation of my new wheels arriving I think I need to order some adjustable camber arms for the rear. My question is in order to dial in a little extra camber do I also need to order the small straight arms (rear traction arms?) or can I get away with just the camber arms? thanks for any input!
  16. Still? Cant wait for tomorrow when my braided clutch hose arrives... I can finally complete my manual conversion and get the car down for MOT! and even better news to me is that my backordered rear wheels are arriving into the country this week, I wont get the car 'finished' for the conventry meet but it'll sure look different at JAE!
  17. Yeah I had mesh in my last scarab bumper. Cheaper than new rads / intercoolers when a stone goes through them!
  18. We've only used ours once, mrs went to blow it up today and it's leaking air both sides! No wonder it was only a tenner from Asda lol
  19. Yep really hoping to go, the car is basically as it was apart from the different transmission, I was hoping for big changes but I'm still waiting on delivery of my rear wheels so it's holding me back on a lot of the mods as I want it all to go on at once.
  20. Finally got the autobox changed over for my manual in my '99 spec. Not driven it since the tax run out in march so really looking forward to getting it on the road. It was a bit of a pig to do on the drive but managed it over two days with Hollings one day and Mikey Bean today. Without help from those guys the car would still be sat unusable but it's now complete apart from a clutch hose I'm waiting for, then it's MOT time and fingers crosses ready for the Coventry meet.
  21. Sorry to see it mate and can't believe the bellend in the focus drove off!!
  22. The Vulcan was big news around this way before it flew off to Farnborough, as it was the last time it will fly out of Waddington which was ifs home for many years and where it was sent as a new plane in 1960. We're getting a new runway from September this year so the airshow is cancelled next year, and the vulcans days are numbered now!
  23. Yeah might do, might as well fit a gearbox too whilst I'm at it and mount the bumper properly :tt2:
  24. OMG Gaz I do hope you are joking. Butterhead lol
  25. That's Butthead. Beavis had blonde hair :tt2:
