  1. same boat, but ive goty noithing on there atm and its a long wheel base it just looks plain wrong. i purchased a perspex strip to cover the recess in the tail gate last year, and not being cheop i wanna keep it but the 99 spec looks good fro some angels and rubbish from others, but the 89 would mean getting rid of that persex strip.
  2. has anyone tried this seems a little too good to be true to me http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Engine-Oil-Stop-Leak-Smoke-NISSAN-280ZX-300ZX-/250728377857?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a60936e01

  6. we did this a few months ago. they are illegal because the zed can psyically fit a standard size plate. some import cars are allowed these as they dont fit proper plates for examample evos. but unfortunatly they arnt strictly legal and if johnny got notghing better to do wants to you can be issued aticket for it
  7. thanks groover, im glad you were thinking along the same lines as me. looks pretty duirty down there been using it in the rain quite abit and the country lanes are full of l;eaves and crap atm
  8. when i fire my car up with the bonnet open and listen down on the drivers side fronty of teh engine i can here a turning noise. never noticed it before. my paranoia says ahh the cam belt is rubbing or what ever is down there on the anncilary belts has a dying bearing. more likly and more positivly i think it could be teh sound of the alternator when it charging as it is intermitent and far stronger when cold, i havent driven the car for a week. or its the ancilary belts creaking as they turn. so who wants to provide a possibitly? to recap its a faint sound of whirring and turning like a wind up toy down the front left. of teh engine and it gets quieter when the engine is warm, and its very quiet as in you have to to have your ear over that side to hear it.
  9. that looks nice mitchell
  10. supra i thought it was a 350z under there?
  11. Im gonna have a go at producing a air guide for the engine bay. oginally i was gonna make it out of thin ally. but ive since thought i could produce a sheet of fibreglass taht also covers the fuse box hicas etc tidying that lot up without moving it all about. what do i need to know before starting this? is there a set material to make the template out of so it comes off of it. any help appricated

  17. pretty sure they shouldnt even be selling it if its not pressure tested. if in doubt tho slippinga fiver in your local fab shops pocket will help. get them to pressurise it and put it on a drop test and soap teh welds we used to do this on fuel tanks for super yauchts and powerboats

  23. not the zed lol, i did notice that they started production in 1989. anyways it was teh actual photo i was on about the train in the background the grainy quality the landscape. shove a capri in there instead of teh z and you would think it was from the time
  24. in my unofical unexpert opinion, as long as you dont rev the death out of it, letting it sit there esp with the bonnet open to leta little extra heat escape wont do to much harm its no real differnt to dribbling along in town traffic at 10 miles an hour
