+1. As you know i'm not mechanically minded but what you are describing is what mine did when the S1 ptu failed. Did all the same checks and cleaned all connectors but nothing until swapped to a known working ptu. Fired immediately and since upgraded to S2.

Is this really true? I've not been around long so just intrigued really. Seems like an awful lot of people, where have they all gone? Was Mikey waving around his ban smiley all the time?? Is it possible to put my iTunes library onto a USB stick? If it is how do I do it? Got a usb front stereo in my van so just wondered if it's poss. Cheers chaps. P.S. the stereo isn't iPhone 4 compatible so doesn't work via the lead.
