  1. LOL. Good luck with the mot buddy.
  2. That's the SS version. WOW
  3. Exactly that happened to me a few years ago. My scooby horn going off, about 3 in the morning, put it down to a flat battery. Did like you and disconnected the battery. Awoken 2 nights later by two little scrotes trying to nick it, got down the stairs (live in a maisonette) and outside, but as i opened the door the 'security' light came on and they scarpered. I swear to this day it was Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis, even with all the adrenaline and being quite fit at the time there was no way I was catching them. In some ways i'm glad I didn't, don't think i've ever been so angry. Still fooks me right off thinking about it!!!!
  4. If you don't need the practicallity of the IS then sell that. Guaranteed as soon as you do though you'll find a hundred and one reasons you should of kept it!! Your Missus sounds almost as cool as your car looks. Lucky bugger
  5. Cheers dude  Got a pic of yours? Inspired by Jeffs' at the bash tbh. Think they'll add a little something to my front end. Ooooh Eeeer Missus
  6. Thanks a bunch guys. Information overload!! Got to say i'm liking the idea of doing them in situ Daz, but as said on the other thread i'm worried about the two locating screws that hold the insert. Craig, thanks for the offer mate, I might well take you up on it but i'm trying to do as much as I can myself. Job satisfaction and all that. I'll let you know when i cock up the spares I have and you can do the others. LOL!! As an aside, what colours would you guys do the inserts? I'm thinking silver :helpsmilie:
  7. I like it. If it's as clean as it looks then that's a cool car. Unpretentious daily and more eco than any Prius. Good choice fella.
  8. Yet more temptation!! Stop it guys. I need to get the manwell conversion done.
  9. Is it a pig of a job to remove the headlights? I'm looking to add 99 spec inserts to mine if it's not too much hassle :confused1: I have a spare set of headlights I can add the inserts to beforehand so it'll then be a straight swap. Also how easy/hard is it to seperate the actual headlight assembly to add the inserts? Thanks for any advice/info/links/experiences. Daffy.
  10. I still have my 1:18 scale model in the same colour. Closest i'll get to owning one
  11. One of my favourite cars ever. Pains me to see it like that. I'm bad enough when my Zed isn't spotless!!b
  12. As it happens they are pioneering a scheme for disabled kids in Andorra where i've just been. The kids are strapped into a chair with a sprung 'mono-ski' beneath and have a fully trained instructor behind with a lanyard connected to the chair. They then get taught how to turn by transferring their body weight in the chair. It's a really cool thing for them to do and heart warming to see. Any skiiers or borders will understand the principle behind the weight transfer. I wouldn't want to be the one to try stopping you if it all got a bit pear shaped though LOL. :helpsmilie: Hope you and your son are well mate.
  13. Keep 'em coming bud, good to see some light hearted banter on a few threads. Been skiing mate, all back in one piece so all's good :yinyang:
  14. Belated Birthday wishes Richard. Been away so only just seen this. Hope you had a good day.
  15. Having been on hols and missed this ongoing 'debate' can I hazard a guess as to the REAL answer, is it a Ferrari Testosterone? LOL
  16. Sussex STU might be interested? Just a thought chap.
  17. Nice cars, nice people. Thoroughly enjoyable. And a joyful 200 mile roundtrip to boot. I am well and truly back in love with my Zed.
  18. And very nice they looked too. :cool2: Keep me updated on the possible Silverstone mini meet.
  19. I know. What a wally!! Just felt the need to share such a humourous yoke!! I bet you cracked up :-)
  20. Owned mine nearly a year and only seen two others. One parked and one mobile. Are Zeds' that rare? In my experience they are.
  21. Take the graphics/stickers off and that's a nice Zed. Subject to inspection obviously. Seems a really good price IMO.
  22. No offence intended. I just get eggcited easily. I was going to tell you my egg joke but the eggs get scared. It's fry day!!
  23. You'll never get another Zed like yours and those Mercs are great cars. However..... Who wouldn't want to own a Ferrari?! Love to have your predicament. I'd probably let heart rule head and get the Ferrari. But that's just me. Nice cars all of 'em.
