  1. This is what i'm thinking at the minute. I know you all think i'm mad and should keep it lol but hear me out :flowers: I am pretty much made up in my mind that it's time for something different. Although i have just filled up with motion lotion and been for a really nice drive, I am going to sort the hatch as per the other thread, and I will also get the front bumper re-done. Losing the jdm parking mast, colour coding it but with fog ducts in the anthracite colour to match the wheels. I will have a major (60/120k) service done as I already have the parts so it's just labour cost. This will mean the car is perfect handling/bodywork/service wise, be it for me to enjoy or to any prospective purchaser. The interior is also mint, albeit tweed. But I was actually drawn to the car because of its interior. I really like it. So in short, i'll get the bodywork A1(hatch and bumper are only me being ocd!), a full major service completed and either continue to enjoy with peace of mind or have a very special and rare Slicktop TT in Cherry Red Pearl for sale. Daffy.
  2. Ageed mate. The sticker makes it look complete.
  3. I prefer the smooth personally, and it'll be cheaper and easier to get that re-done. But as it's 90% certain i'll be selling soon I wanted to know what the majority view was. Yours is looking mint btw Quavey, love the new wheel colour.
  4. I currently have a smoothed tailgate on my slicky with the perspex strip, I am thinking of reverting to my tailgate with the '89 spec spoiler. What do you guys think?? This Or this
  5. Welcome Jim. What's your budget out of interest.
  6. I have all the parts for a manual conversion buddy. Low mileage 'box, brand new clutch/fly', rad etc. Thanks anyway :cool2:
  7. ^^^^ Pretty much my exact sentiments and current thought process right there Leo.
  8. Can you get to the point please Andy. That isn't quite succinct enough for me :turned: Did you ring while I was away?
  9. Back on topic. My bad. Anymore advice?
  10. I did, you'll never guess who i bumped into.......................Everyone!!
  11. Any women wanting to get moist in my Slicky are more than welcome :cool2:
  12. No problem, if I still have it you can drive it. Good luck with the whole uni thing.
  13. Bloke is proper funny. I too will be remembering that one.
  14. It's still an auto, but hey we can negotiate :blushing: When do you qualify Jane? I suppose I could enjoy it for a while longer. It'll be manual, leather and prolly rebuilt engine by then.
  15. Cheers Marty, they do indeed. So basically I should start a 'Anyone available to do a manual conversion??' thread instead.
  16. You lot are being extremely nice and complimentary this evening. I'm going to post less frequently more often.
  17. So I should keep it lol!! If I do, i'll get the conversion done and have full interior re-trim. Then it'll be a keeper for sure. I just have an itch that I feel needs scratching.
  18. For those that haven't seen it With '89 spoiler (i still have this tailgate)
  19. Right guys and girls, I am seriously considering selling my Slicktop. For no other reason than I fancy something else. Something with a retractable roof  So I would appreciate some advice with regards to how best go about this. Firstly, is this in your opinion the best/first place to advertise? My feeling is that most people have Zeds' and are here for advice/help/parts/banter, not looking to buy. Secondly, if it was your car would you spend money making sure everything was 'perfect' ? In that I mean refurbing a wheel if it has a 1" kerb rub etc. Thirdly, and this is my Zed specific, would you offer any potential buyers a couple of bodywork options? Bumper/tailgate are not to my exacting standards (long story!!) Despoiler, lose parking mast. My Slicky has wanted for nothing during my ownership, apart from a manwell obviously!! It handles fantastically, runs as sweet as a nut and looks gorgeous. I have aquired £1200 worth of parts to fit, should i sell these with the car or seperately? This is what i've done in the last 15 months HANDLING: DW adjustable tension rods Cyberspeed front camber arms DW total hicas eliminator Cyberspeed rear camber arms DW polybushed rear MiesterR zeta-r coilovers Falken FK452 all round EXTERIOR: Stone chip removed and smoothed All car park dents removed (dentman) Smoothed and de wipered tailgate Full respray in Cherry Red Pearl New scuttle panels Roof trims repainted to as new condition Genuine '99 spec rear lights Genuine '99 spec centre panel Wheels stripped and powdercoated Calipers painted black INTERIOR/ICE: Headunit, Sony GT730 Speakers, front Hertz ESK165 comp, rear JL 650CXI coax Amp, Vibe slick A4 under custom cover Subs, JBL GTO804 in custom enclosures iPhone holder (custom) in place of ashtray Replaced drivers seat. MAINTENENCE: Conzult Oil and filter change New brake pads front and rear Caliper overhaul Brand new series2 PTU Blitz SUS induction kit Red Stuff front pads (1/7/11) All work has been carried out by Silverbullet. Reciepts for all parts/work carried out. Any advice at all is welcome. Regards, Daffy.
  20. +1. That is gorgeous. Welcome :cool3:
  21. None of the above Jimmer. As I said i'm not mechanically minded, hence it might take you 25 minutes but could take me a couple of hours, and I still wouldn't know if it was done right. Rather someone that knows what they are doing is working on my Zed. Horses for courses and all that. A lot to be said for getting professionals (like yourself) to work on our pride and joy :cool2:
  22. The time it would take I can be earning similar money, and I am not mechanically minded at all. So as they are what will by stopping me I'll leave it to the pros. He's also lowering my front coilovers another 10mm to match the rears whilst he's at it. Good times.
  23. Happy Birthday Dave. Have a shandy or two while you're cleaning the gsi mate.
