By the way... I am a mechanic and I know that but I trusted this guy cos he post's on here as a 300zx specialist (sorry I cant say who it is at the mo cos this is in the hands of my solicitor at the moment)

well I was gonna post the full storey but quite simply a so called 300zx expert that posts on here installed a new rad in my car and chose to put a peice of hose in to simply connect the trans cooler pipes together. 6 months later my trans cooked (yes I am suprised it lasted that long too). I called him this evening to ask what planet he was on when he did the job and he told me that it was quite normal practice with a N/A as the tranny cooler was usless anyway on an import and everyone gets rid of em (do you think he missed the point here or what???). Gimme your thoughts people... I know what I think.

Sound's like a daft question to me but yes really... would you install an oil cooler on an auto box in a Z32 N/A????. I ask this because I sent mine to a 300ZX specialist (apparently) to have a new radiatior fitted and after 6 months my auto box has packed up and today I realised he bypassed my trans cooler when he fitted the new rad. This is the short story... the long story is is in the next posting for those interested. (I realise that somke like the short threads and some like the full technical story).

well I am amazed... I watch this site all the time but rarely post but this time I feel very strongly compelled to do so. I am shoked at how many people omn here have complete disrespect for bikers (even before they knew the facts of the accident or even new if the person on the bike was insured) it was the usual crap that all us biker's get every day. well I hope he was sorry, well I hope he was insured, well I'm sorry ya car got dented... sorry for ya inconvienience etc etc etc. Not many words saying was the biker ok or alive. Well apart from being a biker I also am a car driver and use a 300zx,and a Caddilac STS as daily driver's ( I dont have garaged toys that go out on a sunday only). I also drive both my cars and my bike like a complete Tw*t some days (like most of you do when ya get ya toy out). If I make a mistake it is my fault and I am well insured so no problem and it looks like this guy is the same and lets face it he never hit the precious Z so get off his case all the bike haters. Fer christ sake... wot is up with you people???

its me she's havin the domestic with lol... and quite frankly I stand by what I say, yeah its fast, yeah... apparently it handles well but really its a ugly, messed with 911 with big wheels soley aimed at the rich poser/desperate housewife crowd who will only take the kids to school in it or go shopping. its about as respetable as one of those VW toe rag things and looks like a design desaster, great if ya have one of those airport boarding tubes on the front of ya house so you dont have to look at it before you drive it.

A few more points... There is a massive difference between the point scoring traffic police and the nice copper that patrols the streets/calls at ya house after a crime, that is a sad but true fact. It should'nt be like that but it is... so with that in mind is it any wonder that the police that you meet most are the bad ,point scoring idiots and is it any wonder that amost people on here hate them. Lets face it ... if you are reading this you are in a forum that is dedicated to Nissans only supercar and if you bought one to go to the shops at 30 mph you were mislead.. it has no boot. Do you really do 30 in a 30? 40 in a 40? and 70 on the motorway?. If so I sugest you look for the honda civic 1.3 forum.

WELL... I'll tell you what too Dave... I have no time for the police at all... I am sick of coming over a hill doing about 37 in a 30 and getting speed gunned by about 4 coppers, I am also sick of getting pulled at random by a now very regular vehicle checkpoint (again involving loads of coppers... about 40 actually the last time it happenned to me)...AND I am sick of going into wales for a ride on a weekend only to be pulled by coppers with tape measures so they can measure motorcycle number plates just to issue fines (have you ever heard of anyone getting killed by a small number plate???????). Dont get me wrong either, I dont want rid of the police, I just want them to do a good job, after what I wrote above I will now explain why I am so mad about it... 2 years ago I called em at 1am because someone was trying to break into my house (they arrived at 4.30am) 1 year later I had a compressor stolen from the side of my house (it was chained up[ and bolted to the wall and it was 600 quids worth)... I called the police again and they turned up 2 days later. I then had 2 idiots on stolen minimoto/small motocross bikes nearly knock over a woman and her kid outside my house on the pavement at about 40mph... again I called the police and was told I would be put on a 45 minuite priority cos they were busy, that was at about 3 in the afternoon after I just came home from work and 8 of em were on a main road out of liverpool speed trapping (and you wonder why no one has any time for these people). Ok back to the original text... The 2 officers yesterday were apparently going about there beat as normal and stumbled across the robbery and then the shootings happened... I was shocked and discusted at this crime and I really am sickened by it as no one should have to deal with that while doing a job and I agree that police officers are vital to everything . However dave you need to realise also why people have no time for them also... the beat bobbies are a victim of the usual thing... different departments... I understand it but not everyone does, but once the traffic department gets a grip and stops chasing popints and gets on helping out with real criminals they have no chance.
