  1. Yes it does, doesn't have to be full throttle either, just a rapid increase in throttle opening, and very responsive it is too. I know this because my compressor is noisy as **** so can hear it clearly. Need to get the replacement compressor installed, would never dump the AC on a road going car, stupid IMO.
  2. They are daytime running lights not sidelights, and why would you want them, they're about the most awful invention in motoring history.
  3. I found that without this unit, the CC was completely hopeless and just did stupid things like blast you with hot air in the height of summer etc..
  4. Speed signal problem I'll bet.
  5. bin the convertor, fit a 180 dial face, live happily ever after.
  6. trying too hard. LOL rear contact patch.
  7. Yes, think about it though, now the distance between the track rods is wider, hence allowing more lock.
  8. Hmm, I looked up the stats, I only have an 11bhp/tonne advantage over it, there's no way I'd ever be 'shitting on it' and pretty much explains everything. Times move on I suppose.
  9. I was, not very much though if we're being honest.
  10. Ok, I've got a TT auto and cannot beat a french hatchback in a straight drag, what gives? Are they fast or am I losing power somewhere?
  11. Go for an S2 model, better climate unit, much better interior material. Otherwise they are basically the same over the years. The TT is a gas guzzler, you will average below 20mpg and feel like it is raping your wallet all the time. I gather the NA model is not much better really. The link above has a lot of good info.
  12. It's a VQ as said. VG30DE/DET are used in Y31/Y32/F31, VG30DETT is only in Z32. Only Y33 with VG30DET is the Gloria Brougham VIP Active Damper Suspension.
  13. Overpriced and behind the times, I can see a lot to be excited about :p
  14. Footman James, 25yo male, 1 fault accident, 0NCB, 3000 miles, £183.
  15. Are people in denial or just joking around? I've got a 2+2 and am happy to admit the the SWB has much better proportions. Rear seats are useless to me, and the shallow boot space is pretty useless also. While we're at it, the t-bar roof is unnecessary dead weight for 99% of the time in the UK, but I'll admit it's been awesome during this heatwave.
  16. I've ridden passenger in a zed with similar mods to that, it went off the clock. How accurate the clock was is anybodies guess though.
  17. Hmm, can't see why that could be. It's got fresh coolant, new water pump, good condition radiator. Dash gauge never moves from the middle. Still, i'll run it with the datascan on and see what the temperature is saying. It's always pretty f'kin hot under the bonnet but that's just what zeds are like :confused1:
  18. Won't reach 80? Got a thermostat in there at all?
  19. Ok so it's fairly tight to turn when cold, start the engine up and it makes a bunch of noise for about 10 seconds before it calms down and is nice and quiet. I drove the car for 20 minutes at no slower than 40mph, after a short while it got noisy again. I tried to spin it again after parking up and it was just as tight as it was when cold before, left it 15 mins with the bonnet open to cool off, no difference still.
  20. The Yoko almost certainly. S1 evo is a bit average, the good Hankooks are the K110 Ventus V12 Evo.
  21. Starting to get a bit irritated by this now, seems like most of the time the engine is at operating temp the fan is roaring stupidly loud when the engine is revved. I thought it was only after being parked up due to a bit of heat soak maybe but today I noticed it was roaring away even after a motorway drive when I shifted it to 2nd on the exit ramp. Can I assume that the viscous coupling has had it? Is there a test I can do?
  22. o2 sensor seems dead, on the same number in each shot.
  23. gauge sender is knackered.
  24. this is most certainly not true.
  25. looks broken to me, peak power at 4200 and flat as hell after that?
