  6. Saabs always been good motors. Like anything else when they get old 'yer pays yer money and takes yer chances' If that's what you want go for it. (I'd prefer the ragtop)
  7. you could try e-mail: seanz@wanadoo.fr He is a Z Club member now living in france who buys, sells & imports Z's. he may be able to help your parents.
  8. Looks a beaut good luck with it. BTW I've driven past those gates many times, it's not your house at the end of the drive is it?
  9. Have a go at this; http://www.107.peugeot.co.uk/peugeot.swf
  10. http://www.zclub.net have an insuance valuation officer. As stated above he will value your car and if you present this to your insurance company they will mostly accept it. You have to be a club member, the valuation is free.
  11. Depends what the letter you have received says. However after 4 weeks they should have finished inspecting your car, it seems to me that they are being unreasonable in keeping it now . From what your original post about the accident says I would assume you will be reported for S2 or S3 of the Road Traffic Act. If it's S3 consider a guilty plea, fine & no of points will be less. You should not be banned unless they require your personal attendance in court. If it's S2 then you need a solicitor as there is a distinct possibility of a ban and even a custodial sentence. Your insurance co may supply you with a solicitor especially as the other driver was injured but if not you should seek legal advice.
  12. Roundabout A414 / A128 Ongar 2.50pm Saturday Silver 300zx t top roof off smart looking car nice sounding zorst
  13. I am a member of Zclub.net (because i have a 260Z) I look in on here from time to time as do a lot of Z Club members. My son is a member here (as he has a 300ZX) and also Zclub.net (because I joined him when he bought his Z) He prefers this site, in fact i don't think he's ever posted on the other one although he does look in.. i prefer the Z Club site and he prefers this one. i totally agree with some of the comments here, the z club can be likened to last of the Summer Wine and it does need livening up but that is happening as more 300 / 350 members join. There is no need to' leave' one site to go to the other, you only need to press a few keys and you're there. Both sites have room for every one i always attend the 300zx midland meetings with my son and really enjoy them. He originally came to the Z club meetings with me where he got the taste for his Z. We will attend JAE etc this year, together but with different clubs- nothing wrong with that. I feel the Z Club is perceived (wrongly) to be for the older models but this is not so, the motto is 'one club, all the cars' and we try to embrace all models and their owners. Yes I do think it's a bit'old fashioned ' and strasight laced in comparison to this site but you can always go over there and lighten things up a bit, we'll be pleased to see you, you don't have to leave. In my opinion the Z Club is more of what i perceive to be an established car club and if you join you will also receive a top fllight magazine every quarter the content of which is contributed by its members. join up by all means or come to the joint meetings and see what's on offer. You don't have to defect from one to be in both clubs. After all we all own Z Cars and that's what it's all about.
  14. I have received the first batch of plaques and am posting them out. If you still want one and haven't ordered yet please do so asap At the moment we are struggling to sort out things in the period between the changover of shopkeepers so please bear with me. Those who have paid by cheque: they will probably not be presented to the bank until after 1 May. All these plaques have been posted out and should be received in the next few days. If you paid by paypal your payment will have been received by the club but I may not have received notification yet. As soon as I receive the notification your plaque will be posted to you. My apologies if you have to wait a little longer but we are doing our best.
  15. paypal now sorted on Z Club site sorry for delay. see post 43 for a link
  16. Apologies for the delay, I've been trying to sort this out with no success. Due to the way it's set up within the club Paypal does not work for the Z Club Shop (yet). Also before anyone asks I can't accept credit cards until a changeover is sorted with the bank. Sorry about this we are working to rectify it but loks like it will take a few weeks. Please send cheque made out to Z Club Shop or cash at your own risk.
  17. The cheques are starting to come in. thankz guyz. I anticipate delivery to me on 10 April and I will post them out immediately. Keep the orders coming, there were more than 23 cars and most had passengers! Also I have had enquiries for the Swapmeet 05 plaque. I can still get these with the 300zx etching and also the '04 one with the 240z etching. Let me know if you want these. (same price).
  18. Hello Peeps As there are already a dozen names I will place the order and presumably delivery will be within 14 days. There will be no problem adding to the order as when the plate is designed they are prepared by computer. In order to effect delivery I will need your name and address. If you pay by cheque to The Z Club send to my address on the first post, include your n & a and I can then post your plaque. The picture Chunk has shown is the correct size and they are very good quality. Any questions I don't think you can pm me on this site.. I'm on Zclub.net or try Zulley ThankZ
  19. The Z Club have one in the general discussion section of the forum . Shows the location of members. I think there was/is one on here somewhere but not sure.
  20. This guy has just been on the telly news saying how he wept with fear as he overetook cars at 115mph on the hard shoulder because they wouldn't get out of his way! Must have been ok tho cos he was in contact with the police all the time on his hands free mobile phone. good job it was h-f or he may have got a ticket.
  21. Are you joking. After the last earbashing I got!
  22. Watch out one arm, I can still read and I'll clip your ear next time you come home! AND I've got your car and the keys. Might just go myself.
  23. Hi peeps I am new member Zulley's Dad. Last night he went out as front seat passenger in his friend's car. They lost control on a bend & were in collision with 3 other vehicles. Nathan (Zulley) is detained in hospital suffering from a complicated fracture of the collar bone, severe lacerations to his skull , concussion & lots of other bits & bobs. At this stage prognosis for recovery is good . I understand that Police AIM tests show vehicle speed as 60mph in a 60mph limit. So it appears he lost control on a greasy road surface. His driver has only shock, all other persons involved are detained in various hospitals with serious but not life threatening injuries.
  24. You must check out everything VERY thoroughly. Think carefully about what you want to do. Check out the area in which you wish to work. Check out the opposition. Thorough research now means easy going later on. If you're thinking of a franchise be very careful of opportunities offered in the price range you have indicated. Look at all the franchise companies offering opportunities in your selected field, not just one, and compare what they offer. Remember they will tell you very little until you pay up and remeber you are buying into a concept and not a ready made job. It's up to you to find the work when you've paid up. If you want serious advice about franchising get in touch.
