  1. Nooo...its red...why would anybody want a picture of a red one !
  2. I just bought a set of 3 Gauges to fit into the DIN slot in centre console. Oil Pressure, Oil Temp and volts. But been thinking, is it better to have Oil temp or Water temp ? I presumed Oil temp as its actually engine oil temp that tells you when engine has reached correct working temp ?, and I already have the stock (but crap) water temp gauge... but everyone else seems to go for aftermarket water temp gauges ?
  3. me agree, and there is'nt a link to the forum from the new homepage either. Thought it had broken when I clicked it
  4. Xcellent Cheers Mike :D Is there anyway we can get the Text area Vertically aligned to the top. (with 10 Images crolling down page, it places the body text in centre of page, rather than at the top) Can these be linked from our Profiles Automatically, or perhaps a link,

  7. Good idea. :) I see its found 5 Posts, is it set to find the Top 5 relevent posts (determined by how many words match) that have the same words in title and body (in this case : "test") ?
  8. ok..you should probably sit down for this...are you ready..ok, here goes ;) Its a custom built computer, based on a Mini-itx motherboard. Uses Laptop compontents (Hard drive, memory, DVD drive..etc) in a Cubid 3688 case. Also has a Opus 90w Power supply, designed for in-car installation. Its a voltage regulator which protects the computer when Starting the engine(from voltage spikes and drops when craking). It also starts and shutsdown the computer properly. The Screen is a Xarnac/GAIN VGA in an in-dash DIN cradle with USB Touchscreen from http://www.digitalww.com (DWW-7VGA). Its Running WinXP, but the frontend Software is a Customzed version of Mediacar. (http://users.skynet.be/media-car/software.html)

  10. Very nice, and looks in great condition. :)
  11. I "think" (Wife used to work in Council Planning department, but still confused me), that generally you always need Building Regulations when you extend or alter, but only need Planning permission when it meets certain criteria (like size, distance from other land/buildings..etc)
  12. Yep, get planning permission and building regs ;) Building Regulations make sure your building work is safely constructed. Planning Permission is concerned with what your building work looks like. ______________________- When do I need to make a Building Regulation Application? You need to make a Building Regulation Application if you want to : -Erect or extend a building. -Alter a building in a way that could affect structural stability, fire precautions, fire escapes or disabled access. -Underpin a building. -Do any drainage works. -Change the use of a building. This includes putting sleeping accommodation in a building that has not previously included it, converting a property into flats or turning a property into a public building.
  13. Good idea. I have a Computer(Mini-itx system) with in-dash Din 7" Touchscreen VGA monitor installed in my Zed. I have also done away with my headunit, and full sounds run from the computer through a 4 channel amp. I was thinking of Fabricating the centre console to mount the screen into the dash, but was worried about the angle off the dash in relation to driver, have you test fitted it to check visibility from that angle, and from sun glare ? (That pics really bad, wiring not as messy as that now. Need to create a false floor , and mount the computer and amp beneath under a perspex cover)
  14. Happy Birthday Marcus, you can buy us all Beers at the Jan meet to celebrate it ;) :duffer:
  15. Its slightly bigger tham Motorbike, so I presume 4x4 size. Although Motorbike size will fit fine, and IMO looks better as its a bit smaller.
  16. Replacement stock ones then. Yours must be worn? My boot (with stock spoiler) is seriously heavy to lift, its a real physical achievement to lift the thing, and once open it stays open.
  17. Cant imagine a high level rear spoiler being heavier than a 10-14 year stock spoiler thats absorbed all that water over the years and is still held up by the stock struts.
  18. You have to take the Tweed of all the panels, except for the doors. I found that It comes of easily, the glue they use is'nt very strong. Xcellent write up from Stuart (smw1): http://www.300zx-mods.co.uk/Interior.htm
  19. Congrats, thats good news.. :smash: .and co-incidently I used to work for IBM Global services, and was based in Reading.
