  1. Gtir Weight is around 1200kg. 0-60 is about the same as a stock zed, according to all the figures I've seen, as is 1/4 mile. Traction is their main advantage. In the wet it would kill a zed ofcourse. But its one seriously ugly hatchback. :nelson: :x:
  2. As Mike says, It can make it harder for non web-savvy people to steal the images, but wont entirely prevent them. ..when all else fails....Print screen button and Image editing software does the trick too.
  3. Is it just the blades that are wobbling, or is the viscous fan clutch area and pulley wobbling too ? If its just the blades, then sounds like new fan needed...if the rest is wobbling then the waterpump bearings have collapsed or its internal shaft may have snapped :( :( :( Thats exactly the symptons of my broken waterpump last week.
  4. ooohhh...thats sexy :smash:
  5. You need to post this in the Items wanted forum.
  6. But I've also seem magazine tests with a 13.8 quatermile for stock zed.
  7. Whats cheaper on labour - Tailgate skin or holes filled and smoothed ?
  8. A lot of owners are running Eibach Springs. They offer a 0.8" drop (the zed does'nt exactly ride very high in the first place) which would have a lot less affect on the camber angles.
  9. There was another post earlier about this : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=43670 ;)
  10. Welcome :D If the car is lowered, and lowered heavily then it will almost certainly need Camber adjustment. The Standard Link arms are fixed and have no adjustment, so there are two options. 1. Buy a set of adjustable link arms. Get them fitted and have the camber and alignment setup by a Garage, preferably with a laser alignment setup. 2. As Above, but purchase a Harve's Camber Kit, which consists of spacers that you can add to the mountings of the standard link arms, to alter the camber.

  12. Think you need these : Adjustable front upper link arm with bearing kit (£225 per arm) sold by http://www.zcentre.co.uk. There is also a much cheaper Camber Correction kit available sold by Harve on this forum (sounds similar to what your using now)
  13. Cheers guys, and thanks also to Ryan. Think we ended up calling you a few times :duffer:
  14. BIG thanks to Greg for spending his entire weekend off work replacing my waterpump with me. Despite him fully regretting it 1/4 of the way through, encountering a whole host of difficulties, shredding his hands apart and his poor family not seeing him for 2 days, he stuck with it and we had it finished this afternoon. :D :duffer:     :duffer: Secretly he jumped at the chance to get away from his Red Zed and work on a Black one ;) Give the missus my apologies :( Cheers Bud ! :) I owe you BIG TIME !!
  15. I think I know the answer to this..but worth a try.....Does anyone know if the Phase 2 Heater control unit with its Airflow direction buttons (which the Phase 1 lacks) would fully work in a Phase 1 car?
  16. Always one step ahead of you Dave.....one step ahead ;) lol
  17. check out http://www.zcentre.co.uk
  18. Really sad to hear Vijay, I lost the dog I spent my childhood growing up with a few years ago the same way. Its devestating, especially when you have to make the decision yourself. Dogs really are mens best friends. Heart goes out to you mate.
  19. Yeh, what a day !...and more again 2morrow. :headvswal Hopefully a lot less stressfull, and without all the problem encountered today. BIG THANKS to Greg who did a sterling job today on my car !!
  20. IMO its not advisable to buy something as important as Suspension springs from an unknown brand, and definatly not from a seller trying to sell them without mentioning the brand.
  21. I found them useful for strapping down my Amp until my boot build is finished ! :smash:
  22. Currently half way thru replacing Waterpump, but cant get the timing belt cover off (metal cover that sits lower than the two cam covers). It looks like u have to remove the crank pulley :headvswal can anyone confirm ?
