My letter to the editor of jap performance magazine
its down to 2 reasons really..... 1. supply and demand - unfortunatly there is a lot of demand for impreza features by owners and teenie-bopper fans 2. Not enough of us offer our cars up for features !

How old is it
on all the V5's I have it only shows "date of first registration", there is no Manufacture date. So if thats the date they get form the De-reg, then its the correct date on the V5(registration date).

How old is it
The date on V5 Docs should always be date of first registration and not date of manufacturer...as it is for UK cars too.

Nissan Data Scan Software
Nissan Data scan software is a kind of inferior alternative mini-version of Conzult...which you still have to pay for. I would suggest contacting the vendors for alternative payment methods. Rather than asking for illegal copies on a Public forum.

lcd screens
with LCD Screen cleaner  The official word on LCD cleaning in is to use a solution of diluted isopropyl alcohol, no more than a 50% solution. Be absolutely sure to use a very VERY soft cloth. Do NOT use paper towels or anything more abrasive than an old worn out cotton Tshirt. Do NOT use windex or anything with ammonia in it, it can etch the screen surface and can cause the plastic to go cloudy. I have "Klear Screen LCD Screen Cleaner Spray". Works for me.

Can somebody please explain all the different models?
SWB TT have same Turbo's and Power output as the 2+2 TT..its the lighter weight of the car that gives the slight handling and performance edge (0.1 - 0.2 secs on a 1.4 mile)

Can somebody please explain all the different models?
some of those listed are just different ways people describe them. The main differences between each model available is Twin Turbo or NA, and 2+2(4 seats, long wheel base- most common) or SWB(2 seats, shorter wheelbase). You will often get people calling Uk models fairladys, so dont rely on just the name. Then you also have some SWB's with a Hardtop(also called slicktop) instead of Targa (also called T-bar). All Uk models are Twin Turbo 2+2. Imports are available in a combination of those options.

Advice wanted on newly purchased (well nearly) Z.
welcome, and congrats on a fine choice of car (and colour) :D take it easy for a while...its not just the power difference to get used to, its the RWD compared to FWD too. Take her to an empty car park and have a play first :) With the Turbo timer, many of them are automated...they determine the length of idle based on various parameters from the ECU....some are manual entry. 30 seconds is ok if you also make sure you drive off boost for the last mile or so..otherwise 1-2 mins depending on how hard you've just been driving her.
