1. 330D - E46 (1999–2005) , E90 (2005–2011) 530D - E39 (1997–2003) , E60 (2003–2010) Depending on Budget. The Bmw 3.0D is a fantastic engine. Drives and sounds much more like a Performance petrol than a typical Diesel. About 200hp, 300+ Ib/ft Torque.
2. Yep, OEM is better looking, with a full rubber seal and is cheaper (about £45) and its far more than just a bit of thin perspex as the ebay advert tries to make out, its a quality item made up of several components that curves to the tailgates design, with fittings. I cant agree, for the reasons above.
3. More expensive than new oem
4. Me too, always favoured the 5 series over the 3 series. They are better cars, but the 3series is a more popular choice.
5. 330D or 530D FTW :gunsmilie:
6. the waterpump is the last of your worries if your taking it above 8k rpm
7. Bmw's , Mercedes, Vauxhall omega, Chrysler's are your RWD Diesel choices.
8. confusing. Jeff is sadly breaking it. :(
9. being pushed a bit more (near end) ? but microphone sound a bit distorted on this one
10. Just sound to me like the V8 was'nt being pushed anything like the V6 originals were. Lots of part throttle and short changing, barely getting it into high revs or putting it under load. Not a fair comparison. Although with modern exhaust noise ruleing its not surprising if its on the tamer side, I'm sure an aftermarket free flowing exhaust can sort that out though.
11. Yes, providing your Activating the Cruise control, on the side pod first. You can also hit the cancel button on the steering wheel to switch off cruise, then hit the resume button again and it will speed up/slow down to the previously set cruise speed and hold it again.
12. Cruise control only works within certain speeds. For Jap imports it wont work above about 75mph
13. 0-100mph is a relatively reliable and simple way to compare straight line acceleration and mid-range performance of 2 cars : Clio 182 - 17 secs Stock 300zx TT - 14.5 secs Basic mods (1bar) 300zx TT - 11.5 secs The Z was Nissan's performance marque, designed to be the top sports car out there. It just so happens that the GTR proved more popular in later years, and so was the car Nissan concentrated future efforts on.
14. abflug meet is a bit chav/rice for my liking. Full metal widearch is what you want.
15. Fitment is ok. Offset is weak - fixed with a 15mm spacer on the front, and a 5mm spacer on the rear
16. about 20kg. Fuel has density of 0.737Kg/L but yeh, I agree, sounds about right for your car and subs, amps and other changes.
17. Price is reasonable :x:
18. Definatly today - Im downloading it right now....
19. iOS5 release date today !
20. Its definitely a very worthy upgrade from the 3GS, and its more than just a software update from the 4 but debateable wether its worth upgrading from the 4 if your contracts not due though. My contracts due in about a month
