  1. £276.....and even then its £350 with vat and delivery.
  2. ah, then unfortunately he misquoted..as its about £450 for all 3 from zcentre with vat and delivery :( Dont buy from there.
  3. I read it as if any of the following is loose, missing or excessively deteriorated : -brake back plate -wheel cylinder -caliper securing device But Im not sure now. You might be right, It could refer to their nut/bolt fixings.......the joys of MOT tester manual interpretation
  4. Not according to what Paul just quoted from the Manual..
  5. If you buy it back you could get that done a LOT cheaper. What they have given you there is an "insurance" quote....a more expensive quote than you would get if you went to them as an Individual. Plus those £800 of parts could be had for well under £100 used, excluding the single 99spec light, which I think is around £150 new (they quoted £260). Depending on what they pay out for the car, you might be able to get the car back, fully repaired and resprayed and have money left in your pocket after !
  6. That will be a write off for sure unfortunately. Did the repair place specifically say they would "jig it", because typically what will be done is for them to use the bodywork hydraulic rams to fix any moved lines, then knock in/out dents and filler smooth the panels.
  7. 205 countries in the Olympics ? ........I thought there were only 196 countries in the entire world !?
  8. Just clicked on motors and and there was a big advert on the page for CD Radios

  10. Sounds like your about to buy a every expensive chew toy.
  11. Impressed that your working with Nitron as a technical partner. Great news, very reputable developer of very high-end parts. Are you using them for Engineering design or Manufacture, or both ?

Finds other results, but there is definatly something wrong. here is an example :http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?162738-Automatic-vs-manual&p=1657083&viewfull=1#post1657083 In that recent post I used the word "autoboxes". But if you do a search for autoboxes and username Yowser, it will not appear. if you search for autoboxes without specifying my name it finds it though.

ok, no I take it back...there is definatly something wrong still. if I search for "autobox" by user "yowser" it only finds 7 results and the newest is from 2007. Thats definatly wrong ! I have slagged off the z autobox far more times than that and far more recently ! :p

ah...I think I found the issue I was having. The search defaults to sort by "relevance" rather than "date". So Im seeing older posts that may contain more entries of my keyword first, rather than the newer posts Im looking for which are on the third or fourth results page. This seems to be a different sorting method to how the search usually works on forums.

whats the deal with the forum search. Ever since the Upgrade several months ago it no longer works properly. Im wondering if its only me, since I have bought the subject up several times but not seen others complaining. The search is surely one of the most used features on the site and I cant get any results newer than 2008.
  16. There is no camber adjustment as standard in the front suspension, so they would not be able to anything with it. Also, an standard arm could only get bent in an accident, such as a very hard slide into a kerb, and even then its far more likely to a lower rather than upper arm. Other causes of camber being out of range would be due to worn sagging springs and worn bushes. Did they say by how much it was out by ?
  17. you think your fmic is blocking "flow" to your radiator at standstill ? :confused1: If she's getting hot when idling then you DO have engine/cooling system issues. As Jimmer said, should be able to idle for hours.
  18. yeh, but its the labour involved to replace, stripping down the front end of the engine to replace them. - - - Updated - - - The larger one is the ECU coolant sensor, and the single spade connector is the dash gauge.
  19. In theory, fmic could cause complications with flow to the main radiator at speed, although Im not aware of anyone actually experiencing issues having fitted one. It makes no different at idle, and anyone experiencing overheating at idle has other cooling system problems. Thermostat is only about a Tenner new, and I would not fit a used waterpump. They are only around £80'ish brand new, for genuine OEM. (many aftermarket/pattern part pumps are inferior).
  20. Running temp should be 75-85. Anything over 90 (except in hot climates) indicates a problem with the cooling system. The electric aux fan kicks in at around 105c, and tbh this is often too late to save an expensive repair bill. The VG is very susceptible to headgasket failure or warped heads when overheating. If your seeing temps of 110+ then its extremely likely you'll have an expensive repair bill for headgasket & skimming. :(
  21. yeh, the IOS is very simple to use. All it is is a list of App buttons. (IOS is basically just what you see when you go into "Applications" on an Android). I used to love my iPhone but would not want to go back now. The screens seem so tiny and the Interface so basic, and I would miss stuff I take for granted now like the Live wallpapers and multiple Homescreens, and the Widgets are a fantastic feature that IOS lacks.
  22. lol I own both the iPhone 4s and the Galaxy SII and I stand 100% by what i said. The iPhone is a nice little phone for the Wife, she is happy with it, but its not really the phone for "tech geeks". Daz, any of the later gen Andriods phones will be a decent upgrade from your Desire. There are plenty of reviews out there if you want to see what the experts say.
  23. People are often very bias about the phone they personally own and usually pretty clueless about every other phone out there....Defending a mediocre phone against all competitors just because its the one they purchased. Vodka has tried to slag of the S3 in every post in this thread (while complaining about people that do it to the iphone) , but its the clear winner in every review ever made against all the top phones. The iPhone 4s is a well built product with a nice simple interface, and it would of been a decent choice a year ago, but its way behind the current market options.
  24. Easy choice - The S3 is by far the best phone on the market. Before the S3 came out, the S2 was still the best phone on the market. My Wife has the iPhone 4s and its great for her needs, but it can not compare to my S2. The Iphone 5 will try and be a S3 rival, the 4s is not.
