More E-bay rubbish!!!!
Its just one of those things daz that you just have to log to experience. The seller as not done much wrong and a complaint will be awarded against you, I suppose it is as described in a fashion, his photo does look a lot better than yours!!! the postage charge is as clear as day and by the way i thought ebay were trying to control some of the postage rates. Being as I have 1500 fb's and have 100% record, I would not be comfortable selling an item that is very economical with the photo used. You have no alternative but to strip it back and start a fresh yourself.

Timing Belt and all Belts
Although I have little history, I believe my jap as done roughly 75k. I have looked at my belts and they all seem to be Bando branded and I have visited their website, seems a very reputable company. http://bandousa.com/html/automotive.html You can search and the zed comes up. So I conclude that they have all been changed together at some point as they must of all been genuine nissan stamped from new, I will guess they have all been done at around 50k? As a rule genuine belts are the way to go but does anyone have experience of these Bando belts? Nissan don't do belts, they build cars, so belts must be sourced from somewhere and just then Nissan ratified and branded - am I wrong? discuss

i will just see what comes back from stack first, they do supply some adapters in with the gauge from new but none fit the engine. i did quickly look at demon tweeks website, but we shall see how things develop.

rear trim above lights
i have broken mine brake light one with fiddling!!!!!! been looking for one ever since - about a month. mine is just taped up with black tape in a couple of places!!! you cannot really notice but of course i am not happy. i have those part numbers stored on my phone and i think the only way is buy from nissan. someone did tell me on ebay he could get one for £80, but what about shipping, its only wafer thin!!!!! dont trust any courier with it!!! 300zx_parts is his user name, you might want to try him.

as i say to all take your time and make sure you get what you want. be prepared to travel and ask a lot of questions, build up your knowledge. you get what you pay for, mine was over 5k and after 4 months of ownership and me doing no mechanical work it sailed through its mot with no advisories!!!

few questions tt import
i have of course a stock oil pressure gauge and its useless, it moves first thing from cold and then once warm moves to rest, this is where it stays, until i start from cold again. i am just in the process of fitting a stack gauge on the a pilaar but need the correct adapter for it, if anyone can help me here i will be grateful, i need a tapered fit adapter for the sender unit? i am also waiting for stack to get back to me on this, that is probably my best bet for this. i believe once fitted it should read in bar 3.5.

Big Trak is back 2010!!!
i dont have one of those!!! i do have a powerpassers set and have bought loads of cars and track, wheels, barriers, high speed curves, etc, to add to the basic set. it is like a TCR where the cars can change lanes. again, had one as a child and loved it, bought this and the add on bits about 5 years ago.

£175 for a complete car!!!
as this car is only 15 mins from my house, i keep getting bits off it, front fogs, fuse box covers, small things like that. most recently i got the sun visors as they are better than mine and have the flap over the mirror on the pass side. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-FAIRLADY-300ZX-3-0-1993-Breaking-4-Spares_W0QQitemZ270547894543QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3efde9410f on talking to the breakers yard owner he tells me, it broke down in London, then it was lifted off the streets and then the owner never claimed it from a compound. he bought it of course complete as it stood for only £175.00, he had to go down for it though and bring it north. he also told me that someone from Rugby came up for the two front seats only i believe, and because of a fag burn did not buy, do we know who that was? the targas are present, the exhaust is a two exit thing - looks ok, engine is still in it, anybody want owt? :tooth:
