I regularly go into Wales on my VFR. Hang a right at Newport and go up past Cwmbran to Pontypool and on to Blaenavon. On to Abergavenny, then Crickhowell, then Cwmdu on to Talgarth. Head for Builth Wells and then on to Rhayader, then go through the Elan Valley and on to Devil's Bridge, then take your pick to get to Aberystwyth. Halfway through the Elan Valley there's a road to the visitor centre which you simply must do (it puts you back near Rhayader) - last time I was there I saw a bunch of Scoobys parked up like it was a Z meet, so the locals must use that road a fair bit.

I lived in Newquay from 1988-1994 and agree that it's gone right downhill since. It used to be fantastic but now it's just a victim of its own excess. My Dad still lives there and my Mum lives in Wadebridge so I'll be going down to see them in September but I'm not especially looking forward to it - it'll probably be raining.

Correct. And I have a list of parts/work that SE Nissan allegedly did on the car which totals £20k. I don't believe that any more.

Don't go near Biltong if you don't like coriander! (urgh) Rocking JC Original Beef Jerky, on the other hand, is completely lush. Usually found hanging on strips near the beer and wine in Tesco and Sainsburys (or sometimes near the chilled food).

Forget it in the Zs. I went a few years ago in my Citroen ZX and nearly burnt the clutch out there was so much stopping/starting in the queue. The road surface (what there is of it) is full of craters and the parking is in a field. I might go this year on my bike though.

Glad you're OK - any crash you can walk away from is a good one. You never know, it may have helped by them spotting that genetic thing earlier than you otherwise might have - hope it turns out OK.

Wii rocks. Nintendo will always be a bit behind as far as processing power/graphics capabilities goes, but that's missing the point. Great graphics do not a great game make. What Ninty do better than everyone else is innovate. Which other company could've got girls actually interested in games on the scale that they have? Sure, you'll always get a few fan-girls on any console, but Wii has made it a mass market proposition. Which other company can claim to have created so many new game playing experiences over the years? Which other company has so many high quality games (averaged over the lifetime sales of a console)? Nintendo is the most important video game company ever - and probably always will be. But the absolute best thing about Nintendo is the genius that is Shigeru Miyamoto.

Last time I was in B&Q, the old guy doing the meet n' greet bit asked me if I wanted decking..... so I punched him in the face before he could make any more threats.

I've got one and it's fine - the handling is nearly as good as the Z :)
