Hey Richard When cold, it'll just stall when moved to D, R, 1 or 2. After its warmed up, it'll drive in R, 1, 2 but D just acts like N. Slight tin scraping noise coming from the box at idle in any gear. The diagnostic test says its the revolution sensor. Oil stinks and looks like very very fine particals in it. :cry: Gonna jack the car up 2morro and have a look under it. Dont really want to drive it about to check for any outhe symptoms. I did drive up a curb rather fast by accident at the weekend (spun it!) so maybe this has caused a connector to come lose. I'm just trying to be positive with it! Fingers crossed! Andrew

Think my auto box is on its way out :headvswal Was driving on the M4 at about 80mph. In 4th and everything was sweet. I floored it to over take but the 'box just went into neutral, I ease off and it goes back into 4th. Its been doing this on and off since I bought the car. This time however, went into what seemed like N, then a loud sharp clunk. Still in 'N'. I eased off and back into 4th like usual. On my way home tonight, same thing, tried to overtake, went into 'N' then a ckunk again. Now, no drive what so ever. I pulled into the slow lane, doing about 50, still no drive. Moved the lever into 2, bit of a jerk then into 2nd gear. Slipped the lever into D, no drive, then it went into 3rd. Wont change up to 4th at all. Managed to get all the way back to Ipswich in 3rd. When getting moving from a standstill, I have to manually select 1 with the lever, then 2 then put it into D. Doesnt always dive drive in D, hit and miss, never changes up or down of its own accord. Also can hear a tin scraping noise like loen noswil posted earlier. This sounds very expensive to me :headvswal But I've got my fingers crossed as this site is a font of knowledge and I hope there's someone out there who knows what to do!! Just hope its something I can do myself! (doubt it tho) Thanks Andrew :(

Hey there! Now that you mention it, remember reading somewhere about changing a resister. Will be able to do it myself at work. I hope! Might get a second set of dials to practice on LOL! How much do you charge to do a conzult check? Would like to connect it up to see if everything is hunky dory with the Zed. Cheers Andrew

I've recently fitted some new dials to my Zed. The speedo only reads 160mph, therefore I need it recalibrated. I've read about problems with the power steering after guys have converted from KPH to MPH. Any one know if I'll have the same probs??? Anyone know where I could get it done?? Nistec perhaps? Viniboy I've just fitted the dials you are looking at on ebay. Never done something as fiddly as that in my life! They do look MUCH better fitted in the car than they do on the ebay pics. Wiring them up is a right pain in the bum. I'm not bothered that they only go up to 160mph, I'll never drive that fast anyway LOL :wink: For the money they are defo worth it IMO. If you decide to buy them, give me a shout and I'll do a write up on how I fitted them Andrew :)
