  1. PASSED!!!!![/SIZE]
  2. Lucky bugger! I get two weeks on Salisbury Plain, again :(
  3. Yeah I know!!! :nono: Especially as today is the first time we've had an early knock off in ages and all I want to do is drive back to Reading! Getting an oil change and rad flush too. Still too nervous to ash whether she passed or not LOL!
  4. Not sure Bro! I'll ask tomorrow when I pick up the Zed. The last of the dodgy MOT's, while stocks last!!!
  5. Yeah, realised that at about 2am this morning!! Took the pin out and found the rest position like you said. With the ignition on they take up the proper position. After about 30 mins I got all the needles in to right place. Now I just need to get the speedo recalibrated for the different speedo scale.
  6. My baby has to stay overnight  Apparently the garage staff have been called to a training course because all the MOT stations are going to be linked by a central computer system for some reason
  7. Good luck Bro, mine Zed for hers at the mo... Fingers crossed!! :p
  8. I cheched the temp sensor with a multimeter, all was fine. Then I suddenly thought, I've put the frikking needle in the wrong place on the spindle! It rests against the little pin with a pre load. Now its all back together I'm gonna checkt the water temp with another guage to check that my needle is indeed in the right place.
  9. LOL! I'm sure all will be fine! Will take for a long run before hand Sarge, any excuse to blat down the A14 :p Will keep ya posted 2morro evening
  10. As some of you have read, I've knackered my temp gauge.... I needed this excuse to buy some after market ones! http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/catalogue/product_detail.asp?PCODE=TRIP134&GRP=RP073&PGRP=R008&CLS=ROAD&code=TRIP110&from=search I found these on Demon-tweeks. I'm after some not so expensive ones, preferably with a blue backlight to match the rest of my interior. I know these arent a fancy expensive brand, thats not what I'm looking for at the mo... So what do you reckon??? Any good or are there others to consider? Cheers Andrew
  11. As it says, dropping my Zed off for my first MOT since I've been owning her. I cant see anything going wrong except the handbrake is rather weak. It'll only hold the car on a slope if I've eaten my wheat a bix for breaky! :) Fingers crossed!!
  12. Welcome mate! Zed minus roof plus summer equals the time of your life!!! :nana2: :nana2: :nana2:
  13. Yeah, think I've got an earthing problem somwhere. Gonna have a play with the sensor side of things at the weekend. This just gives me the excuse to buy some aftermarket gauges, LOL! :hyper:
  14. Morning everyone! Last night I fitted white dials to my Zed. With everything now working more or less correctly, the stock temp gauge needle sits at the max temp point (Full Scale Deflection) when I turn the ignition on. Doesnt move up or down when the engine warms up. Anyone recognise this problem?? The gauge was defo working before! I was super careful when removing or refitting components so I dont think damaged anything. Any ideas????!!! Cheers Andrew
  15. I'm after one too mate. They are like teddybear poo!
  16. Given the right tools and setup, reckon I could do pretty much anything. At the mo, I only have a Leatherman and a couple spanners LOL! :D Used work in a machine shop, running lathes, milling machines etc. Now I maintain helicopters. Pretty mundane but pay's alright! :duffer:
  17. Well they were the cheapest by far when I was looking for insurance. £400 less than the competition! Bought the car in October, still getting hassled by them with 'We havent received the following....blaa blaa blaa.....' :headvswal Mathew, can I give them you mob or email incase they wanna comfirm I'm part of the club?? Cheers for your help Andrew :p
  18. Cool, will try and get hold of it. Is that the prog that Kia99 and thr boys use in the Paintshop section?
  19. This is for all you computer wizzes out there... I've been given a copy of Paint Shop Pro 9.... Only prob is thats its in Italian :headvswal So, does anyone know how to convert it into English????? Either that or I'll have to learn Italian, LOL :p Cheers Andrew
  20. Hey guys and gals Adrian Flux want me to send them a copy of my 300zx.co.uk membership card. Do these exsist??! I've given them my membership number but they want proof. Anyone else needed this from their insurance companies?? Cheers Andrew :)
  21. Happy Birthday Dude!
  22. Double Chrome Dude!
  23. I used to get horrid shaving rash. Like ChrisP said, in the forces they dont do stubble! :xxx: I bought a Philishave Coolshave. It spunks on your mug as you shave, no more shaving rash! I find it just as close as a Mach 3 with out the discomfort. I also use Botanics Pre Electric Shave Primer. Its awesome stuff, makes the shave so much smoother!! Go for the most expensive shaver you can afford And thats all I have to say about that :D Andrew
  24. Ah bugger, gotto change my pants now! Not as bad as the Britney one a few months ago, now that made me sh1t myself LOL! :wack:
