  1. Agree with the morning light, you can get some stunning photos with morning sunshine! Not sure on the small aperture though. I thought that with a high aperture value (f/8.0) ie. closing the shutter, you bring the entire range from foreground to background into focus. By lowering the aperture (f/2.7) it allows you to blur the backgroung and sharpen up the forground, ie. the car.
  2. By pointing at different objects and then depressing the shutter button halfway may not work as the AF (auto focus) and AE (exposure) will now be set for the wrong image. Fine for AE but not for AF. ie. Your focus may be out. If you can change the Light Metering mode on the camera, switch it to 'Evaluative' to divide the image into multiple zones for measuring the light. 'Center Weighted Average' averages the light from the entire frame but gives greater weight the the subject matter at the center of the frame, or where ever your AF frame position is set. 'Spot AE Point' measures the light within the AE point frame. The 'Spot AE Point' should appeear in your view finder or LCD display and looks like [ ] The 'AF Frame' will be a solid rectangle frame. Try changing these settings to get the best image. Depending on your camera, you could move the AE point to a darker or lighter part of the image and keep the AF point in the center. Thus measuring the light in a different place of you choice. But like Yampiedog said, experiment!!!! You can always delete the rubbish pics afterwards! Andrew :D
  3. I fix and maintain Army helicopters. Has its perks but all that good!

  14. Hello everyone Ive been ploughing through the search for info on wheel sizes. Most I could find was info on width. I'm after the profile size I would need to fit 17" wheels. I dont want to change the overall diameter too much. Would the off set remain the same too? Thanks Andrew
  15. Doing well, cheers! Been redders for the last few weeks, starting to get cold though. Missing the Zed!! Got so many ideas for it...... :hyper:
  16. Never even knew you smoked Rich!! Being in the forces, I'm kinda used to people smoking, nearly everyone does it. The only times I grips my poo is when tey blow their smoke directly into my face, when I'm eating or when they've had a fag outside, then walk in and breathe all over you! I think that stinks even more than the smoke! I quite like the smokey smell in some pubs, think it gives the place character. However sometimes it can be over powering. Some Super Duper extractors would work a treat, then everyone will be happy, well, nearly everyone! :D
  17. Thanks guys! Will have a look for that little transmitter thingy! Sorry I didnt reply earlier, not much tinternet out here! :D
