  1. Just dropped the zed in for its mot, fingers crossed !
  2. Nearly forgot about this one and Gary missed it as its likely not set in your profile yet ! Anyways Happy Birthday Buddy !!
  3. Exactly ! The cutting torch worked and I'll be fitting the parts tomorrow although they are slightly damaged. Luckily not enough to be in usable so they will do for now !
  4. Well second attempt was today and i made it all the way to see Jim! Found what i needed and with the help oh him we used a torch to cut at the bits required. Got back just before 8pm tonight and set about the zed with a torch and some spanners with very succesfull results. Only managed to work on the fronts tonight but i believe the backs are strong enough to get me through the mot then tomorrow after work i can again insert the bits needed on the rear hubs. In the end these two wee buggers below were the cause of all my troubles :
  5. Just buy a new toad, really easy to install and setup, you will just need to get the wiring certified to get your certificate for insurance.
  6. Well didn't i say i was JINXED !! After having issues with my front wheels and the noise i decides to call driftworks and sent them an email picture of my setup. Cleverly they spot the issue straight away and it turns out when fitting the new front and rear lower arms i never used the wee tappered colar that apparently comes off the old oem arm - well nobody bloody told me did they ! Good news was the old arms were still lying out the back for the fronts. Bad news is i chucked the back wishbones away over a month ago. Good news was a couple of excellent members namely SandyZ and Jim was at hand to help me out with some breaker parts. Very bad news was on my way to glasgow up the M77 there was a very bad crash no more than a 1/4 mile and it involved the car crashing through the central reservation and smacking into another going the opposite way. Well i thought at the time how bad can this get - 2 hours later i'm wishing i never thought that. Secondly stuck in a one way queue going no where i get a call from work saying the full of troon town had a power cut and that what should they do about turning all the servers off - at this point they had less than 5 minutes before the big betteries ran out. Nowt i can do i told them as i told them about the situation. So now i'm back at work doing system checks to make sure nothing was damaged and getting everything to go for the morning shift. Who said i was jinxed. lol
  7. Hi Jeff, Noise only happens on the road and not stationary and when stationary and looking at the belts all of them are moving ! I'm thinking this has to do with the new driftworks parts so i have just called them direct for help.
  8. I've took an emergancy day off today and just about to jack the car up and double check all the bolts. Might even swap wheels back to the 18's just to be sure its not the wheels untill the 4 wheel alighment is done. next issue is cant get an alignment untill thursday so fairly sure we wont be there for setup this year.
  9. lol, Thanks for the offer but I'm away up in Troon which is in the west coast of Scotland !
  10. Car was all ready for its 4 wheel alignment this morning then its MOT would be at 3:30 But its developed a really annoying screech and a smell of burning rubber and i've no idea what it is ! I've checked round the full car and although the camber is completely off aswell as the tracking none of the tyres are rubbing anywhere and i'm now at a loss what to do. I'm missed my slot for the 4 wheel alignment and i'll miss the MOT today as it likelt wont pass with bad alighment. So my trip to JAE this year might be at a loss too:angry:
  11. Thats you activated !
  12. Great news, cheers bud ! now apart from pulling the bulb how do i go about testing all the door connectors and how many are apart of the circuit ?
  13. MOT time and its booked in for 3pm tomorrow. Done all the usual MOT checks but one thing (its always one) has presented itself as a wonder ! After the zed being off the road for nearly three months all was well untill about an hour ago where i notice the door illumination on the dash won't go out and when i checked that all doors are shut it stays firmly lit. Would that wee bulb cause my zed to fail its mot ? A few things i've done to test the door circuits is to close and alarm the car then manually open the door to see if the alarm will trigger which it does for the two doors but not for the boot so i check the boot circuit and when disconected and reconnected you can clearly hear the door relay which is behind the passengers side. So what is failing and why ? What is covered by the open door alert on the dash; is it just the doors and boot or is the bonnet part of the circuit. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers Lee
  14. This was a couple of months ago now and the update was to prevent security issues not because there was one or because the forum was experiencing any issues! I do these updates as they are released by the authors of vbulletin to keep the clubs forums fully upto date, it's when the forum doesn't get updated and a there is known faults that the club can become a target. im closing this thread now as this was done months ago and it's causing confusion to people just reading it thinking it was recent! 15. Just the transaction number.
  16. Rephrase that ! I mean Activated.
  17. Just a big thanks to AndyP who got me out my bed this morning from the sound of the postman chapping my door to drop off two JAE tickets ! Many thanks.
  18. Do you a deal, I'll turn you on if you rebuild my engine, lol
  19. Can you post up the transaction number so we can trace this. We did have a PayPal issue recently which is now resolved but we may have missed you and all we need to do is to activate the account.
  20. I find using the forum on my phone just as good if not better than using an app.
  21. You mean it will be just an R; as you wont have any control over it, lol QUOTE=Joely P;1673197]Full scale model RC zed!
  22. What happens if you do a remote start in gear ?
  23. We should be arranging a scottish meet shortly so why dont you come along to one of them and introduce yourself. If i'm there i've no issue with taking your sub and activating you and i will pass the payment onto the clubs accounts.
  24. Nope, ive done plenty of Toad alarm installs, Just a note with remote starters that most insurance companies wont insure you with it. Of course that is if they know about it.
  25. You could be with any host and not have any issues what so ever as you are just one in many. But if you operate on the basis of hosting sites in the hundreds you tend to notice the differances. Fast Hosts are a good company but like heart internet aswell they have become very large and i think the customer support has become second to them making money and many operations are now automated. Automated is not a bad thing but sometimes having a technical guy working on the job you know things are getting done fast rather than being stuck in a queue waiting to get dealt with. With Vidahost there is a team of technicians who work directly on the systems and reply back to you with honest answers rather than pre selected replies. I just feal more in my comfort zone with them than any other hosting company i have used in the last 15 years.
