  2. bloody hell thats came a long way, take it that was a jig that got that sorted out.
  3. Pretty sure you had some BBS looking wheels with a nice shiny dish with gold spokes, looked fantastic, though so did your 240z think i actually feel in love with the 240 when i saw yours.
  4. Just got off the phone too him, think i talked his ears off lol, top bloke :)
  5. if the link still doesnt work, let me know ill do new type up lol
  6. grats bud, i remember seeing this in your garage when it was parked next to your 240z. i take it you decided against going with the orange look? was quite looking forward to that. What happened to the other set of wheels?
  7. it actually looks like a place for the lady to put her pneumatic drill.
  8. is this the lee dent on this very forum? i had a very nice offer from him the other day. now if only i can figure a way of getting me zed down to him once i have my manual conversion.
  9. the only cars that need to be calibrated in the UK are traffic police so they can nab you lol
  10. say that to this zed mate http://www.junauto.co.jp/democar/jb-z32/explain.html?en
  11. and on a VG30DETT as well :) http://www.junauto.co.jp/democar/jb-z32/index.html?en
  12. Sorry about the closed thread, seems if we use certain mobiles as moderators it closes posts at random after viewing them lol Can we keep it ontopic please, and hopefully vijay and jeff can get a satisfactory out come to this situation.
  13. 260mph and yet to be beaten as well mine on a nice long private road got 165 out of my red zed, the N/A is limited to 120 in japan iirc but take the limiter out realistically should be able to achive 140 to 150 TT on the other hand, stock and being well maintained they were limited (depending on country) to 155mph, but delimit them and realistically should be looking around th 175mph mark. Ryan, all cars are made to show 5mph faster than what you are actually doing not 10%, when it shows you are doing 25 you are actually doing 20, its the reasons speed camera's dont "go off" when just over and why they can nap you for doing 32 in a 30 zone lol
  14. he still has my pet slug - herbert..... :crying:
  15. personally i think its a good thing the thread isnt closed just yet, shows that people are willing to offer up a resolution. something not many garages get the opportunity to do and hopefully only good can come of this. This isnt a witch hunt, we understand there a days when you just wish you never got out of bed, and running a business is no different. Running my own computer repair business is not and easy task especially when speaking to people who you have fixed the computer for, only for them to ring you up and say it isnt working, and when they tell you why, its not even because of what ive done, its usually down to them selves and not understanding, doesnt stop them trying to say its my fault and that can put you in a bad mood sometimes and not want to deal with people. (ok completely different but you get what i mean)
  16. subscribed or unsubscribed, this is a place for conversation bud, subscription only gets you the perks mentioned. we are impartial unless its liable / slanderous, jeff is fully aware of what has been posted and could quite happily of asked for this to of been removed. please lets not get confused on this matter. everyone is entitled to there opinion as long as names are not mentioned. that was fulfilled by the OP. had Jeff not replied, it would of been down to assumption as to who the garage was rather than confirmation, and this would of been just another "im not happy with my services" thread, like the many others we have on the forum.
  17. HAHAHAHA classic :) trust you made my night that has
  18. we have let the thread run as initially (apart from a mistake that was rectified) he never actually mentioned who it was. jeff replied. we were then in a strange predicament. as long as the thread doesnt go into a slagging match, i see no reason to close it unless one of the 2 parties involved asks. Please remember although this is one persons unhappy out come, there have been a whole load of those who are satisfied with work undertaken, i for one still get information from said party and i trust it, would this thread change my mind from taking my zed there (if i didn't do my own work) no it wouldn't. Everyone has a bad day. understandably sometimes things get out of hand between people.
  19. did is that saying pete brought your old zed?
  20. same ive got 2 perfect ones sitting on my balcony - warning may contain spiders... lol
  21. wouldn't make a difference, later in the life of the zed if you took your car to nissan to have a turbo replaced, they stuck manual turbos on the cars even if they were auto. ive got manual turbos on my auto car and the fecking thing is quick as hell (well when the gearbox was working correctly lol) there was a noticeable throw back into the seat when they kicked in as apposed to the auto tubs that just built up speed.
  22. tt is the way to go if your after top speed :) oh and manual lol
  23. bit harsh there bud, the original complaint was about the screw used to secure the radiator bracket. a simple phone call to say there was a snapped bolt and how to proceed would of surficed and also cured this issue of putting a new hole in the vehicle. Im sure had someone used a self tapping screw to fix something thats snapped on your own car, you would not be best pleased about it. 300zx's are not just cars to their owners, they are prised possessions.
  24. if its an auto, sticking it in gear or even park for that matter makes no difference. already tried that one when had to take my crank off the car. gearbox locks the rear wheels, but not the engine as the torque converter isnt locked up. Also, takes 2 seconds to stick a long enough breaker bar on the nut and wedge it against the floor then crank the engine from the key to get it to start undoing the bolt.
  25. Do it anyway, gives them the room to work with if needed and saves them hassle as well, also means you know your interior isnt going to get snapped up as the rears are a pita to remove lol Just a quick question though, how much in total did that set you back?
