owned a 300zx since 2009, first quote with AF was 4400 that was when i first got my very first zed, it had no mods on it, jap import N/A, when i got my blue zed (5th zed) last year, i thought id have a laugh and see, by that point id done 2 years of driving using a 300zx pretty much as a daily driver with no claims while using the 300, this time it was a UK spec twinturbo with mods declared, quote = 3400, after speaking on the phone with them, they got the quote down to 1900, bearing in mind i was 34 at the time with the use of a garage. Personally i think they like to over price people so they don't have to insure them, ive been with lynbrook since owning a 300zx, ive always paid a set £330, which actually went down after being in a no fault incident, ive never had a decent quote from AF ever.

These wheels would look good on a zed...?
As much as they are nice i couldnt justify spending 4k on a set of wheels, i could build a pretty good engine for that amount. These are nice (not in that colour though, same as whats on the porsche) http://rotiform.com/products_tmb_3pc_concave.html or these, http://rotiform.com/products_tmb_3pc_classic.html Prices start at $1250 per wheel Now if only i win the jackpot on the euro's this friday

If you pop round mine quickly why we still have light, the blue car has the engine loom removed so not much in the way, you can come have a look at the pipes so you know as everything is visible.

Sorry, Could`nt help it, more pics :)
Looks good daz, need more tree's and leaves and less fence and houses and aliens. Id get some of mine but havent had sun here in a while so they would most likely be foggy photos of a zed in fog

Not so new
lol my way of thinking, when my last relationship went down the pan, i sold the family car and kept the zed, made more sense to have the zed while single than the family vehicle :whistling:

TT pulley set
You are going from a large crank pulley (spins slower) to a smaller crank pulley (spins faster), it had less distance to travel, thus spins faster, you are going from a small water pump (spins faster) to a large pulley (spins slower) Tell me how im wrong please? small water pump (faster spin), large crank (slower spin) To Large water pump (slower spin), smaller crank (fast spin) All you are doing is changing the speed of the spin vs the size. its the fundamental workings of gears, so if im wrong, then everyone on the planet who builds gear boxes and bicycles is also wrong. And if you still dont believe me http://www.howstuffworks.com/gears.htm
-
TT pulley set
the closer you get to the centre of a wheel the faster it spins, so smaller crank + bigger pump = same speed as the bigger wheel is off setting the faster spin speed of the smaller crank
-
TT pulley set
aha, the larger diameter of the water pump wheel, is offsetting the smaller crank sprocket, so you should have the same pump speed, if they have been made well.
-
TT pulley set
picasaweb isnt showing the pictures, just linked to the website with "log in" on it. If the water pump wheel is smaller, it will spin faster, if its larger than the OEM one it will spin slower.

"bit of an attitude?" Real it in lad, this forum is one of the most friendly car forums going, 2nd post and you are accusing mods of having an attitude isnt helping you any, i pointed out a simple rule we have, had you read them you would understand that.

Whats this old 86 z31 Worth and ideas
Not at all, doesnt up set anyone, but to answer your question, if the issues where fixed and it had tax and MOT on it, then in the region of 2000, to 3000. We have just seen a lot of these "whats it worth threads" pop up over the years and turn into a selling thread, i was letting you know the forum rules regarding that.

Whats this old 86 z31 Worth and ideas
Well first off welcome to the forum, apart from worth what do you really need an idea with? why did you buy it in the first place with out knowing what its worth is as that seems a bit odd because you may have paid over what its worth for it, i gather you wanted one to race with? but if thats the case why not get one suitable for racing to start with, rather than one you surely would of know if it was suitable for to race, before you handed cash over? Also if this thread deteriorates into a selling thread, it will be removed as you are unsubscribe, nothing against you, but its the forum rules, unsubscribed members are not allowed to sell / swap on the forum.

Veets hair removal cream - Amazon review lol
THIS IS AN ACTUAL CUSTOMER REVIEW FROM A MAN ON AMAZON.CO.UK AFTER USING VEET HAIR REMOVAL CREAM FOR MEN. After having been told my danglies looked like an elderly Rastafarian I decided to take the plunge and buy some of this as previous shaving attempts had only been mildly successful and I nearly put my back out trying to reach the more difficult bits. Being a bit of a romantic I thought I would do the deed on the missus's birthday as a bit if a treat. I ordered it well in advance and working in the North Sea I considered myself a bit above some of the characters writing the previous reviews and wrote them off as soft office types... Oh my fellow sufferers how wrong I was. I waited until the other half was tucked up in bed and after giving some vague hints about a special surprise I went down to the bathroom. Initially all went well and I applied the gel and stood waiting for something to happen. I didn't' have have long to wait. At first there was a gentle warmth which in a matter of seconds was replaced by an intense burning and a feeling I can only describe as like being given a barbed wire wedgie by two people intent on hitting the ceiling with my head. Religion hadn't featured much in my life until that night but I suddenly became willing to convert to any religion to stop the violent burning around the turd tunnel and what seemed like the destruction of the meat and two veg. Struggling not to bite through my bottom lip I tried to wash the gel off in the sink and only succeeded in blocking the plughole with a mat of hair. Through the haze of tears I struggled out of the bathroom across the hall into the kitchen, by this time walking was not really possible and I crawled the final yard to the fridge in the hope of some form of cold relief. I yanked the freezer drawer out and found a tub of ice cream, took the lid off and positioned it under me. The relief was fantastic but only temporary as it melted fairly quickly and the fiery stabbing returned. Due to the shape of the ice cream tub I hadn't managed to give the starfish any treatment and I groped around in the draw for something else as I was sure my vision was going to fail fairly soon. I grabbed a bag of what I later found out was frozen sprouts and tore it open trying to be quiet as I did so. I took a handful of them and an tried in vain to clench some between the cheeks of my arse. This was not doing the trick as some of the gel had found its way up the chutney channel and it felt like the space shuttle was running its engines behind me. This was probably and hopefully the only time in my life I was going to wish there was a gay snowman in the kitchen which should give you some idea of the depths I was willing to sink to in order to ease the pain. The only solution my pain crazed mind could come up with was to gently ease one of the sprouts where no veg had gone before. Unfortunately, alerted by the strange grunts coming from the kitchen the other half chose that moment to come and investigate and was greeted by the sight of me, arse in the air, strawberry ice cream dripping from my bell end pushing a sprout up my arse while muttering arhhh ooooohhh that feels good ahhh Understandably this was a shock to her and she let out a scream and as I hadn't heard her come in it caused an involuntary spasm of shock in myself which resulted in the sprout being ejected at quite some speed in her direction. I can understand that having a sprout fired against your leg at 11 at night in the kitchen probably wasn't the special surprise she was expecting and having to explain to the kids the next day what the strange hollow in the ice cream was didn't improve my status so to sum it up..... VEET removes hair, dignity and self-respect http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/cdp/member-reviews/A2MK841G552A2D/ref=cm_pdp_rev_more?ie=UTF8&sort_by=MostRecentReview#RMSBINADT0S6S
