  5. my god, you did some work on the old girl? cant wait to see her finished. anyway, i drove my zed today like i stole it.........up to the speed limit......and obeyed all the road rules....so technically more like i stole it and didn't want to be draw attention to my self.
  6. let me stick the info up so people know what you are on about lol ive just seen it posted on facebook
  7. I helped point Andy Arnot (L2D guy) in your direction for an ECU map mate.
  8. Yep my mates are going to be there drifting in there cars. L2D lads, you can also book in with them for lessons. http://www.learn2drift.co.uk/
  9. why are things never straight forward lol Though, nothing a message to them couldn't sort out i suppose.
  10. Well i certainly like the concave look on the zed. bit different to the usual deep lip.
  11. hmm looks like mine already at the front, rears look tasty though. was looking at these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170953280866?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 think they would look fantastic on my car in bronze
  12. Right, could you fit a set of ET 40 and ET 45 wheels on a zed and if so anything needing to be done? or why they fill the arches or would i need spacers? just a question as seen some lovely alloys (not that id be getting them just yet) but would in interesting to see if they would need anything.
  13. As long as both butterflys fully close, and they open at the same time, thats all you need to do with them.
  14. Have some respect for that matey.
  15. same, not that i think they aint set right, but worth a check as its a free one you can do at home on your own. any thing to help the MPG lol
  16. says the man who didnt read my reply properly :tt2: lol
  17. i didnt check the link, i posted about setting them not cleaning them lol and yes i didnt read your full reply ok.
  18. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?151303-Throttle-balance-tech&highlight=Butterflys there ya go
  19. JeffTT did a write up on how to set the butterflys, ill see if i can hunt it down.
  20. here ya go bud, have a read. http://www.ehow.co.uk/list_7448959_bad-valve-seals-symptoms.html saves me typing out pretty much the same thing lol
  21. Not much in the short term, just keep an eye on the oil level, mine does it as well, my blue zed did it eventually also. The stem seals are cheap to get from z1 motor sports who do a better quality one than the OEM ones but at a much reduced price. Ill be doing mine eventually when i get around to rebuilding the engine.
  22. Valve stem seals can be accessed with the cams out of the way which means the front has to be striped down, the timing belt removed, either take the engine out, or struggle with the exhaust cam to get that out of the way to get to the seals. most likely be easier just ripping the engine out and doing it out of the car.
  23. Glad you got her back safe and sound matey, looks a good job that and hurry up and get a MOT then join us for JAE this year :)
  24. Sounds like valve stem seals, if they are leaking, they leak into the cylinder while the engine is off usually over night, then burn off when the car is first started in the morning.
  25. Ok next question then, can you map a JWT chip further than its stock settings? if so then might just need to book in, i know dyno numbers are not that important, but would be nice to get some sort of proper figure of what im putting out. certainly has, how can i put it. monstrous acceleration when the boost hits, im glad i have the traction control installed when it kids in as i can hear it working its ass off to keep the back end straight.
