  1. ask the garage to put it in writing what exactly they have done to rectify the problems, DO NOT tell them you have gone to saab about it. let them drop them selves in it with what they put on paper.
  2. nice and shiny matey. thats the first thing im going to do to mine once its back on the road, get it a nice clean and polish.
  3. you want the flat of the chisel on the line in the picture, and the force of the impact to hit the circle.
  4. you need to hit it inside edge of the spigot at an upwards angle and hit it hard. might take 2 or 3 hits. but one good one is usually enough. make sure your using a heavy hammer and don't damage the crank you don't want it to hit that.
  5. last time i tried that, i got a face full of grease and the bloody thing was still in there. JamieTT came to mine with a hammer and chisel, walloped it once and it rolled from under the car to my feet.
  6. agreed, an already built engine (as long as it does what it says on the tin) is always easier to shift than engine parts, just ask jaffa about that one.
  7. get in line, im first for engine donations lol :devil2:
  8. thats been posted before, not sure what kind of show he thinks his 300zx is fit for though, usually helps if the bumpers dont look like they are still in the primer stage.
  9. welcome back steve, Not sure matey, do you trust the people who built your engine? i think that would be the first thing to be asking. just remember though, that registered users are not allowed to sell on the forum, so please dont turn it into a forsale thread.
  10. Hammer and chisel and a good whack don't damage the crank though
  11. that bonnet would look better on a different coloured zed to be honest. carbon fiber hood on a black zed, just makes it look like a faded bonnet lol
  12. it will still be plugged into a ECU surely EDIT missed one.
  13. ok this might be of some use. click on thumb nails twice for larger versions (i think lol)
  14. still might be a ECU thing, lemmi go read up on z31's lol
  15. I'm not really sure on the z31 but sounds like safety boost from the ecu
  16. ive removed your number mate
  17. dont waist your cash, it wont work and even if it does, it will only be for a few hundred miles before it does it again. in short your gear box is shagged mate. mine doesnt go past 2nd and im having to swap the gearbox. also there is a vast difference in the TT vs NA box, for starters you would need to change the torque converter as well as the propshaft as the ends are different and they will not marry up. as well as the drive plate (speaking from experience here of trying to fit a tt autobox to a na) you only have 2 real options if your keeping the car, get another TT Auto box, or go manual conversion. I also have a TT Auto box with torque converter available looking for £120 plus what ever delivery is, its currently in royston. it changes gears when its supposed to, doesn't grind and selects all gears, will come with the torque converter as well matey.
  18. a catch tank isnt going to stop you throwing a conrod, just ask silverbullet when he gets back from hiding. a dry sump set up is what you will need from what i gathered from silver and his mishap. as when that oil starts sloshing to one side and is missing the pickup, your squirter ain't going to be doing a lot.
  19. not me, but once i get the club stand stuff like banners and such, will be booking in our clubstand next year for some of there events around the country. cant wait :D
  20. im just wondering who's going to be the first one to throw a con rod due to cornering and emptying the oil pan
  21. Im sure you are going to need the rad mate, last time i checked it helps keep your engine cool. Might be an idea to remove the aircon-rad instead
  22. I have been in email correspondence with londonMM, im trying to sort out a date with the most amount of people attending before setting anything in stone, there has been a few dates mentioned and we even got a separate post going, that has now been mixed with this one. the first date that was set became unavailable, not by me but by LondonMM, i can only work with the dates set by them, turning up with out warning would be bad practice. i might be new too this but i am trying to sort things for the best of the club, a lot of cars for the event is always going to be better than a few and as a first event for me to organize, id like it to be a little bit better than just having 3 cars show up. Now, id like to get a date set in stone thats good, not only for our club, but also thats good for londonMM. Hope that addresses some of your concerns. I have had the email matey, and was about to post. been a bit busy today. Right guys. As LondonMM has already stated, we have a set date for the 21st of august, there is going to be a few other clubs there as well, and it would be a good chance to show the other club what a good bunch of lads we are with our lovely motors. So can you please Put your name down in the usual manor for attendance. 1. Vodkashots (should have the car back on the road by this point so should be attending in my own vehicle)
  23. i know what your saying there, just keep hold of one when you find the right one, eventually the price will go up, as the rest fall to bits lol i think the look is stunning, ill be keeping mine now ive found this one. Im learning how to weld as well thanks to kaza steve, so will be doing my own welding work once i get it up to a good standard. think it will be a good investment eventually once its all running right, and with the correct maintenance. the only thing is, in this country, the 300zx isn't really that well known, in the US it holds its value a lot more, seems to be the same in Australia they tend to be the same as the UK from what ive seen. if you work out the AUD in comparison to the GBP, its about the same to be honest.
