  1. paint less dent removal would be the way to go with that dent matey as long as the paint isnt cracked, the small hole on the other hand lol Or there is the home remedy thats always worth a try, get some compressed air, or a block of dry ice and rapidly cool the dent. then with a hair dryer or heat gun, heat the panel it might pop back into place as the rapid expansion takes hold
  2. we by any car offered me £650 for my last zx twin turbo before the panel damage, pfft its a bit obvious they want to pay as little as possible for cars, hell even my insurance realise its worth more than that.
  3. then thats a android problem bud, i can even access and post on this site with windows mobile on my 2002 ipaq and still use all functions. Im not saying that something cant be done website wise to help. but if all other OS's seem fine with it (bar the iphones search function lol) aaah sod it just get a iphone :) and join the crew
  4. Hi ya jimmy, we don't mind you voicing your opinion about how ebay is a pain in the ass sometimes, but I've edited to post so it still makes sense. you need to be a subscribed member to sell on the forums, but ive left your original question in in regards to car buyers wales as someone might be able to help you out with that. I know its an advert as such and there is a genuine reason for the question. but please be careful with the wording matey.
  5. what color are you going? as it might look a bit silly if the targa slots are done but the door slots are not as you will have a point where with the roof off your only going to be separating that slot with a bit of roof rubber.
  6. iphone when im out and about unless im in the car, then ill use the Carputer with the Iphone as the hot spot (very bloody handy) when at home ill use a mix of both, depends if anything interesting is going on as to whether i take the iphone into the lav with me when i need to clear the pipe work and still want to comment  but i cant understand why people seem to want an app for it, my iphone can access the site just fine and i can still do most of the moderating stuff with it as it is. I use 3 network for my iphone as i find it the faster and better for Internet on PAYG, ive got an app for it to manage my account with them, but its no faster than logging onto the 3 site using the bookmark in safari. Must be an android only thing with this not being able to use the site.
  7. leave the 99spec spoiler off get the body shop to spray it and then attach it to the car, if you bond it onto the car they will have a hard job getting the underside and around the legs of it, also will make spraying the boot lid harder with out paint run as you have to have the gun at a set distance to get a smooth finish. Remove the door handles so they can be sprayed properly other wise your going to rub the spray off them when opening the door if done incorrectly. remove your front wheel arch liners to make it easier for them to mask off, id also remove the windscreen cowl, and although they can mask the window weather strips it will be a neater job if they are removed (leave the top one though as it will never come off so you can refit it again and its expensive to replace from nissan) Remove your kick panels as well if they are going to be doing the door surround metal work. remove door cards and anything associated with that, basically depends how much your getting sprayed.
  8. I Actually love the idea of scalextric or equivalent, hell we could just set it up as a drag strip as well and have drag attacks and a leader board with knock out contests. winner at the end of the meet/event gets a prize lol
  9. aaron PM me your post code want to see how far away you are from me bud.
  10. caps and t-shirts are already available, not sure if you can get them with your user name on them or not. http://300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=139
  11. here ya go bud have a check over that for over heating http://z32.wikispaces.com/Cooling+System but failing to throw heat out of the air vents id asume it was due to heater matrix valve not opening.
  12. got a S1, but also have a S2 ready to go on when i get around to hard wiring it in. was down at the car earlier and found i had a collapsed vacuum pipe for the drivers side dump valve going to the balance bar  so used a bit of fuel hose for now till i can get a replacement, basically ive got the simple vacuum set up pictured below ive checked all pipes and all but that dump valve was collapsed. looks like ill be wiring up the S2 ptu to see if thats the problem. EDIT, when i pull one of the vacuum hoses off it verges on cutting out so still could be a vac leak i suppose. but it does seem more a misfire than a vacuum problem
  13. take it you didnt read the whole thread lol its about improving the club in genaral to do with not only meets but also the fun factor of the forum :)
  14. thing is though gonzo, speaking out isn't the problem its how people speak out. coming across as an angry dude welding a bat isn't the correct way, taking it out on mods who are only here to make sure rules don't get broken is not the correct way, we should all be old enough to handle things with out everyone getting there backs up because they think they are not being listened too. this is the biggest problem with speaking out. we are all ears (as seen by this thread) when things are done in an amicable way.
  15. yay :) one day i might end up meeting you lol
  16. thing is though murt every time we try this, we get comments like that. don't worry your not the only one plenty of people do it. but think of it this way, your on the committee, things in a thread are going nice some good suggestions are being brought forward, ideas noted down, then the odd sly comment comes in. which granted thats how someone feels, but then what happens is the thread turns into a slagging match, posts get deleted threads get closed, a few other threads get started up basically covering the same things with the same arguments and all it achieves is get the committees backs up and nothing gets changed, rinse repeat. The thread was progressing well i thought with committee members even getting involved. its all forum politics that just slows the process down when things start getting out of hand. id rather get on with the important things than getting into slagging matches that does nothing for the progress of the members, does nothing for new people coming on to the site, and just generally leaves a bad atmosphere for a few hours/days. im trying to get some ideas as NEO of what i can do to help not only our REO's like you, but also for larger events. i see no reason in a thread like this to start commenting on how much the site costs per year when its not going to have any effect on what i can help with events, or how competitions are going to be ran. its obvious that the site works, so i cant see why we should throw a spanner in the works just for a lower cost, i understand the reasoning behind it, cheaper site costs = more for events, but to be perfectly honest, £1400 a year isn't going to effect events / competitions anyway unless the funds start running dry, so where is the point in even bringing that into the question? its a one off payment per year for services. The reason i said about approaching the proper people is because i have absolutely no control over it and getting aggravated in a thread isn't going to help, none of the mods have control over it. so yes approaching the appropriate people is the best cause of action, if they fail to do something then im sorry but not a lot i or any of the other mods can do about it. hope that clears it up a bit for you. Right more ideas would be nice, we have a good selection so far. does anyone else have any?
  17. PTU was my first port of call lol
  18. take your concerns up with the committee if you feel that way, but can we stay focused on meets and club competition and such like in this thread, I've already said that if there is something your not happy with approach the appropriate people with your concerns.
  19. the running of the site is for committee matey, we have a budget already, it just needs to be handled correctly for the members now. id rather it stayed how it is, than moving it around and finding out the new host isn't up to handling the bandwidth we generate and finding the forum off line for hours to days while it gets sorted out. or end up with database issues after the transition that loses half the information we have. the current host seems to do a sterling job with only the odd occasional hiccup to PMing. if isnt broke why fix it?
  20. Tbh matey as this is a club suggestions thread, get some ideas down, i fully understand and agree that there should me more for those that have contributed that do not go to meets, some cant due to health issues, others because they don't want to, others because its just not practical IE work commitments / children ect. Ive already suggested a few fun things like competitions with a prise, doesnt have to be a full set of misterR's but just something once a year or even every 6months for those who subscribe can we also stay on topic about suggestions for the membership rather than accounting for site up keep.
  21. we need to do more for every member of the club that has paid a subscription not just those in specific areas, but it does need people to attend. I like a few of the ideas that have been brought up by this thread, lets not get side tracked with pay pal fees, you can pay via a few means anyway, as long as you let Andy know with details so he can turn you green, or even pay with pay pal via gift if the fees bother you that much. Things im liking the idea of so far though are. - Regional banners - Regional BBQ, doesnt have to be very big even a small portable one that fits in a zed. most regional meets tend to be small so a pilot scheme might be in order, unless someone has a small BBQ they don't mind taking with them. - Few more of the big car events I like the idea of running a yearly Zed calender, this might be one for Kim, where there is a poll put up and everyone votes for the cars they would most like to see in the calendar, the top 12 cars get in the calendar and to make it fair, those that were in the calendar one year cant be in the calendar the following year but can the year after, also, people entering their cars can only do so with recent pictures rather than old ones. with a small bit on the calendar that gives a small mention to the best parts of their zed, the one thing though for that would be cost, yes we could do it out of club funds, but to be honest it would be better as a merchandising thing like the club T-Shirts. Other areas i like the ideas off are competitions, with prises like calendars, T-shirts with names on for winners or even JAE tickets (these are just ideas and not going to happen unless voted for by committee) I know we have our yearly competition for the JAE turn out, but those who cant or do not wish to attend JAE i feel are being left out here. its ok spending money on meets to make the members have a good time, but not everyone who subscribes goes to meets or can even make it due to either work commitments / car off the road or generally cant be arsed with all the fif-faf lol The other idea i liked was the pod tent thing, imagine how good JAE would be if we not only had the marquee that JAE supplies but can also stick on the side of that our club ones, hell we might even be able to get 300zx.co.uk embroidered on the side of the pods with the regions on as a meeting area for the club representatives to hold a yearly meeting to discuss things. (even though we can already do that using the forum, there is nothing better than having a chat face to face) Just a few ideas. A lot of these are one time items per year, so not going to cut into the budget that much, but please remember what ever comes out will eventually have to be put back in to balance everything and so we dont run short so things stop happening. last thing we need is getting carried away with things for now and ending up not being able to do anything due to cash constraints. things do need to be looked at on a long term plan rather than the short term. so start small and see where it goes from there.
  22. Gas BBQ + Gas etc (already got) Generator (was thinking about getting my own as they are handy as hell lol) PA system (i can get hold of this anyway) Disco lights (i can get hold of these anyway) Banners (already got them) Fold up tables (usually supplied the main event when booking the stand)
  23. i was hoping my JAE improvement thread was going to stay like this with good positive ideas coming through, but certain aspects got latched on to and even when things were said they kept getting brought up. there are some fantastic ideas in this thread and ill be putting them into one post for the committee to have a look and decide. i cant promise anything. But what i will say, is that what ever happens, next year we will have a presence at some of the other events around the country.
  24. Your name is now green lol, im sure last time i checked REO's were supposed to be a different colour.
