  1. This coming week, ill be liaising with zclub to find out about there calendar, and will be ringing around all the major events i know off to arrange for our stand to be there, once thats done ill be updating this page to let our members know what top events we have planned for this year. JAE is looking to be around the 7th 8th 9th of September, again at wicksteed park, and this year we will see about a collaboration with not only zclub but also 350z club as well, ill be putting the 350z club to committee. I've also asked to see if we can secure the same area we had in 2011, as our site was massive, quite close to the entrance and other facilities, but that depends on whether JAE's layout will be this year as it changed last year from 2010 Also going to see about arranging a few track days at silver stone for those that would like to attend. or even a day out in a seaside town, possibly Brighton / Blackpool, to try and cater for all distances.
  2. Do you know roughly where your moving too? seems we are building up quite a zed ownership in and around Northampton, might have to wait till you get moved and sort out a meet.
  3. when you move to northampton, your more than welcome to pop around and ill have a proper look for you bud.
  4. My own personal opinion having both band of brothers and pacific on Blue ray, although pacific get a bit boring in the middle, its one hell of a watch. id say its actually slightly better than band of brothers. shame no ones done a UK version of any of the war stuff. would love to see it.
  5. bish, always wanted the GTR LM mclaren. pm me with your price dude i need to know what your thinking on it.
  6. with the old breed is very good as its a personal account of the war, same with helmet for my pillow, the series Pacific was based on the books, but misses out a few things. The thing about "with the old breed" that makes it so good, is hes basically talking to you about it, as you can tell hes not a professional writer it makes it all the more poignant. they are available in audio book, but i found i couldn't concentrate for long enough to listen to them lol. so got them in paper back instead. much easier to read it.
  7. If your interested in war books I can't recommend with the old breed by Eugene sledge, and helmet for my pillow enought. World war two memoirs
  8. Looking at how good it looks in white I might change colour lol
  9. it was a blitz turbo timer, mounted in the cubby hole matey. this one.
  10. love terry pratchett books. I tried my mates kindle when she went to the canary islands, she forgot her kindle that was at mine, so i had a good 2 weeks to play with it. As much as its a cool device, i prefer a good old paper book. Books ive read, almost all the terry pratchett disc world books Dragonlance the chronicles (really should be made into a film) The hobbit Lord of the rings trilogy The Rats The Lair Domain The dark Lots of books by Arther C Clark How to program in Pearl C++ programming
  11. got quoted by the body shop who did artztogos paint job, £1200 to spray my whole car, which i think is damn cheap and very good price considering his work is top notch. He also quoted me £600 to repair the rear end of my old zed, fit the front bumper, spray both parts to match the original paint work. so the guy really does do good deals.
  12. in all honesty matey, i think they should of left nissans factory looking like that lol
  13. get a picture up, last time i checked, they should be flush with the body work and not have a gap matey.
  14. but surely it shouldnt be so low on compression? not one cylinder making 90 psi, that is rather low.
  15. im in northampton bud where abouts are you moving too. but there is a garage on doddington road in wellingborough, one of the polish guys there used to own a black zed which he built up him self, so knows what hes doing if you needed a garage, they seem to have a good reputation as well.
  16. http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=312417&highlight=abflug that would of a been a cheaper option, shame it went, though not surprising considering the price? just a shame the info didnt stay on the ebaylink, would of been nice to see if it had been fitted and removed, or if it hadnt been fitted yet.
  17. me suspect your getting japan mixed up with china that copy everything and anything. what i meant was, its such a unique kit, id rather it didn't get ripped off, like what happened to the twins stuff. it came over here, got copied, then they decided that they didn't want to release anything in the UK due to fears of the same thing happening. im fully aware of that issue and would rather Abflug had the cash from the sale rather than the kit entering the country only to be copied to high heaven. Also, look at the majority of the wide arch kits for the 300zx in the country, and almost all of them are the same kit and a bit paint by numbers if you understand what i mean. i want a unique kit that not many have. given the fact there are only 3 other zeds with picture online showing them with the kit on, 1 of them is a one off SWB version and the other 2, one owned by Abflug / beets, the other unknown, id say its a pretty rare kit. Rob, i think the first picture is a little misleading on how the kit looks. from other photos of the same car, it just looks very tasty indeed and that first image really doesnt do it justice.
  18. i had a zed called Christine, on the first day she flooded and wouldn't start, on the second day she threw 2 conrods, changing a wheel stud, the break line collapsed so she needed bleeding, then the drivers side window failed, then some numpty slashed 3 tires on her, then as she was lowered i managed to catch a speed hump wrong and stick a 2" gash in the underside of the car, by the time it had been cut out half of the floor pan had been removed just to get back to good metal. Moral of the story, if anyone ever offers you a car named christine, run....run for your life....lol
  19. that works on the manual spigot, the auto box spigot didn't move for sh.. when i tried it.
  20. id like to see that letter stating its eleanor, considering both cars had different dash cluster and the cobra badge on the side was changed to "official gone in 60 seconds eleanor", the dials had "gone in 60 seconds" on them as well, with a massive 60.
  21. i will, and its staying original. i thought about making a mold (but as ive never tried i doubt i would be able to) from scratch, but then i know it most likely would feck up some where, 2 years to get the kit isnt to far fetched, will give me time to get what i need too done to the car, only issues i can see with the kit are the front wheel arches with the vent in it, im sure in the wet all thats going to do is cake the door in road crap that gets kicked up from the front tires.
  22. you forgot what i told you in the garage lol chisel and hammer, hit the inside the ring hard, it should pop out, dont damage the crank.
  23. it will get to the point where they will just ban modified cars.
