  1. what happens to the original kit? also, with import tax and duty, you would be looking at closer to 5k for the kit. i have to agree with jaffa on this one, considering what happened to the twins design stuff when it was offered over here, id rather not be stepping on abflugs toe's in regards to their body kits. also, again what would happen to the original, everyone who chipped in would have a right to have it on their car. how would we determine who should have such an expensive original kit on their car? Its not as clear cut as it sounds. As much as id like it to be cheaper, id also like the original kit and im sure that would go for everyone who chipped in. The other thing is, twinsdesign stuff got ripped off over here, its taken quite a while for them to get around to offering anything up in the UK and rightly so, id hate to see japan look at England as a place where everything gets ripped off in the z32 scene so they stop importing or even selling stuff over here in relation to our cars. So far ive only ever seen 3 abflug kits fully built on the cars, the blue, red and white cars in this very post, as far as im aware there isn't a abflug kit in the USA or in the UK yet, and to be the first with an original kit would be something special. Hope you understand bud, im not trying to be a party pooper or anything.
  2. would look a bit bland and boring then, plus you would have some strange line all the way down the door to allow it to open. (it already has them but as there is a "bit" missing, its only on two sections of the door)
  3. wow, first time ive seen it on this zed, stunning. but i can agree though that the lower door filler needs to be modified slightly.
  4. im not even going to ask why you where thinking that LOL
  5. its ok cooldel, i understand what hes saying, i know some people cant justify spending that kind of cash on a body kit. I just think it suits the zed a lot better than most that are out there, but thats my own opinion. if it takes me 12 years (thanks dave ) then so be it. anyway that post by gonzo reminded me of something. women, the killer of dreams
  6. thanks bud, trust me as much as it does cost a bit, i still think its going to be worth it. im not interested in leaving the 300zx scene just yet. id say about year to get the kit. dont want to leave my self in a position where i need to cut into the kit funds. then it will be a case of seeing at the time it arrives what the likely hood is going to be with getting it fitted and in what time frame. Need to get a bit of body work done first before i go putting a kit like that on as its going to hide so much. would rather not stick it on a rusting zed if you know what i mean. value of the car may have risen by then lol
  7. aww that would of looked lovely on your car, is that when you had the black one matey? ive got an idea, i sell my car, get the kit then get a cheaper zed to fling it on lol (joking by the way)
  8. matey if it has to sit in the garage collecting dust for 2 years before i fit it, im going to get it lol not sure im going to ever change my mind, if im going to keep my car and ever go wide, thats the kit im going to do it with, its not as wide as the other kits avalible but i think that goes towards how lovely it looks
  9. i want some different alloys matey......
  10. nvm, found it, though ive had to guestimate at a few things, jesus as if they charge you for getting insurance on it, what a joke http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/saved_calculations/view_details/26047461/ ok updated list. not sure on insurance, as there isnt an option for it, but it wont calculate unless i have a figure in there, so stuck a quid in lol but this is a update with the correct prices as of todays date shipping with fedex http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/saved_calculations/view_details/26048228/
  11. can customs be any more skirtier about what the bloody charges are? just read the website, and they say they charge a % of the total value if the value is over £132 but do not say what %? how the friggin hell are you supposed to work anything out? I understand the VAT 20% rip off merchants. but still at least thats almost set in stone.
  12. yeah but think of it like this, most people spend that kind of cash chasing BHP which i think is pointless for the open road. i may as well spend that making my car look good, with a decent set up, not too slow not to fast. Though once I've got the look i want, will most likely go for an engine overhaul LOL
  13. dave you will have to pop over when i get it, we can have a look see if we can improve on there design. not stealing it though lol
  14. think it would look better in the flesh, the camera squashes it up and makes it look arched to much. its a door filler, you could possibly leave it out and make the rear vent on the arch curve down more to flow with the original door. hmmmm.
  15. i do indeed, and it doesnt look like every other wide arch kit out there, in fact it doesnt really give much of a wide arse as the others do and widens the whole car rather than just the rears.
  16. it would ruin the kit though mind you, but it could pull off his spoiler i suppose
  17. once its here, there will be no rush to get it on, so will take my time and get the molar together while hunting for a decent body shop, though i think i already have one that will do it, but need to ring up and check, if not got a few companies local that will. my main concern would be getting the existing body sorted out first before sticking a large kit over the top of it.
  18. says the man with a spoiler on the rear of his car that you could hold a family dinner around  as i said in your thread, you have the right to make your car look shit, i do too :D so happy days :thumbup1:
  19. thanks for the advice dave, once ive saved enough, ill get it here, anyone know how import tax is worked out, dont want to have it sitting at customs due to being short, would be a bit of a bugger that.
  20. ive told you, im not selling you my car, ill only do you a swap with yours if you gave me 5k (plus what ever the shipping comes too on my flug kit) pfft the cheak of it
  21. wouldnt matter, id still love to stick that kit on, people spend extra getting the horse power, id spend that getting mine looking like that abflug :D
  22. nope, kit consists of front wings that widen the front by 20mm, front wing fin, door fillers top and bottom, rear arches with fuel filler extension, side skirts. does not contain front bumper or rear bumper as abflug believed that people would like to chose those components them selves to finish the kit off how they wanted. with abflug type 4
  23. someone on another thread put up a site in japan, that has the beets abflug kit ive dreamed of, changed the currency to GBP and its coming in at just shy of 3k, ok add on import tax and fitting and spraying probably looking at around 5k - 6k in total. Just wonder how much modifications to the original body work would be required to get it on the car. as mine needs the drivers sill welding before the next MOT, was wondering if it might be an idea to get that done, while i save for the kit and get that put on once all repair work has been done. that way i can get the spray job done at the same time as fitting, would just mean id have to drive around with a half complete car for a bit, but should be able to get it on the car by end of next year and ive always wanted that kit since i seen it. would go well with the abflug type 4 front bumper and at least id have a full abflug kit as well then.
  24. ive got them to and as your are unsubscribed, you cant see the rides section there ya go
