I used a D.A sander , started off with 80grit to remove the casting finish , then used 180grit and finally 320 grit , polishes up quite easily from there , the only fiddly bits are inbetween the pipes , i used a belt sander on these ( similer to a power file ) and smoothed them off a bit by hand with the same grades as before , don,t get me wrong it,s not perfect in there but you don,t see much of the inner edges of the pipes anyway and the nooks and cranny,s in the centre of the plenum,s covered anyway :dance: :dance: Well worth the effort if you like the bling factor :D :nana2:

Got it last sunday , been working most evening,s on it :dance: Not a bad idea on the T/B,s but i,ve got stainless hard pipes with blue sleeves , think that,ll do nicely :dance:

Engine,s coming out soon to replace ; Tubs Rocker cover gaskets Rear crank seal Core plugs VVT springs Fuel lines Vac lines Fit painted timing covers and throttle cover and sort anything else we spot , it,s all getting a damn good clean so i thought it,s an ideal time to do a bit of extra blinging . Throttle bodies need a bit more work but it,s getting there :dance:

I bet 95% of people on here have a duff clock , mines packed up , think they suffer from crap soldered joints that break easy , they can be fixed though :dance:

Welcome to the nut house , only live round the corner from Z Centre , if i,d known i would have personally carried your kit onto the plane ( just to make sure of it,s safe arrival ) once delivered to your house i would only need about a month in the sun with copious amounts of cold beer to recover :D :D Car sounds like it,s gonna be sweeeeet :dance: :dance:

Thinking of fitting one to stop all the crap getting pumped back into the plenum , questions are ; Which is the best place to plumb it to ? Are there any issue,s with fitting one ( running wise ) ? Or can it be vented to atmosphere instead of using a catch can ? Thanx
