I would have to agree with that - £20 well spent really considering how much she will cost you in the long run!

Will these pipes fit?
I am gutted to say that we did not finish the car today as some ******* has stolen one of my downpipes whichi stupidly left under the car - for the cat i assume... so i am thinking that this might be a good time to de-cat now. As i say, gutted as we have finished everything else really - just needed to get the exhaust on!!! So my question is will these fit straight off the turbos? i thought that you needed to get elbows or divorced downpipes to meet the decat pipes? But these look as if they would come down off the tubs and are a de-cat pipe in one? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230506632347&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Also i like the fact that they will express delivery, as i want this done ASAP!!! Thanks in advance

redbull
Mate i was in Thailand about 15 years ago and they had different consumer laws back then.... the redbull used to come in little glass bottles and was absolutely full of low grade amphetamines etc, the stuff was all viscous and gloopy - mix 4 bottles with a half litre of dodgy thai wiskey (again containing ampetamines, formaldahide etc) in a bucket full of ice..... whooo hooooo..... That and the fact that you could walk into a pharmacy and get "diet" pills (slow release amphetamines - just needed crushing!!!) or valium or any number of pescriptions drugs....and it made for some interesting full moon parties i can tell you..... well i could tell you if i could remember any of them :wack::wack:

Possible new owner
Hi mate, welcome. right - what to look out fior??? Well i guess i would start by making sure the sills are ok (often jacked up on these and they get all bent out of shape and attract rust) Check all the usual spots for rust (ie wheel arches, side of engine bay etc as they can be rot boxes) Look for one with not too much done to it, unless its backed up with paperwork as a good clean solid standard one is definately worth more than a dying hyped up one. (often worth more than a healthy hyped up one to be honest) Check for smoke when running - you dont want to see any as it may indicate either turbos or turbo seals gone/going check that when you put your foot down the boost guage goes all the way to the top (nearly top - ie just under 7 in a uk model or just under 14 in an import) - If the needle is only going half way or 3 quarters then it is in safety mode) - there could be a million reasons why this is, some easy to fix, some not. Do the simple things like tyres etc(especially inside tread), as a decent set will easily cost you £150 a corner, depending on wheel size etc. Autos not really slower than the manual, in fact some would argue that 9 times out of 10 in a like for like car Auto vs Manual the auto would win as its hard to get all the power down in a manual. Get Stig behind the wheel and the manual would win every time, but i ain't no Stig. I love the autobox, i think that it is a great drive, and with the power button and overdrive switched on - it is a great box... snappy changes and feels super quick..... BUT alas the boxes are 20 years old and do have a lifepsan, and depending on how she's been treated over the years depends on how the box will hold up. SO.... check the autobox fluid for colour and smell, often a negelcted area as they feel bulletproof so people often don't change the fluid as often as they should. Make sure she changes up and down smoothly. You could also ask if a member near you will come and look at the car with you - there are some very helpful peeps on here, and i'm sur eif someone can help you out, then they will. You don't need to rush into buying one of these cars, It is definately worth waiting for a good example, as there are lots of dogs out there which ultimately will be more trouble than they are worth.... and be prepared to set aside a bit of dosh for when you buy one i can guarentee that there will be something that will need doing. Good luck and keep us posted.....

What bumper is this?
 not too dissimmilar to Gonzos/Janus' old front. Like Andy says, looks a like a stillen lip with the bars removed.... Do it! then he won't be as exclusive as he wants to be ... :tt2::tt2: Hang on....... that wont help my exclusivity either..... That' why you need 2 bumpers Andy :tt2:

fiberglass front bumper fittin problems
MIght it be worth sticking some flexible additive in the paint (as if it was a flexible polyurathane bumper?)

fiberglass front bumper fittin problems
Not being funny, and i have no experience of buying anything from zcentre, but if i bought a bumper for circa £200 from a zed specialist, and then had to cut it and refibreglass it, just so that it fitted - i think that i would have grounds to say that the item was not fit for purpose (ie needing to cut and redo) I would ask for another that fits or get my money back. I have heard people talk highly of Luke and Zcentre so i am sure he would sort it one way or the other. Also speak to CarMad, i have had skirts and rear bumper from him and they have all fitted perfectly.
