  12. Well ladies, it is with a heavy heart that i feel it my duty to inform you that Mr Isherwood (or Isherward if you will) is officially off the market, and might not be involved in the zed scene for quite some time..... I'm a little bit worried really, and for those of you who know andy well, then i guess you might be a bit worried too.... I arrived at his house yesterday to do a few niggly bits to the car and when i arrived i knocked on the door expecting him to let me in, instead i hear a muffled shout "..Door's open mate, quick come in and come upstairs, i need a hand..." Now i would like to point out that Andy lives in a 1st floor flat, so no alarm bells rang when asked to go upstairs, i ambled up the stairs, get to the top and as i walk down the hall and turn the corner past the bathroom to go into the kitchen, i am afraid to say that i got the shock of my life........................................... Suffice to say, i left him to it, and alas my car still has a few niggly bits to do, but on this occasion, i felt it best to come back some other time.
  13. hello mate, good choice to get a zed, there are a few for sale on here at the moment so worth a look through the cars for sale section, check the usual, particularly rust , especialy if it's a uk car as they can be rot boxes. If your going TT, check for excessive smoke on idle and particularly when putting your foot down, new tubs are expensive and a tricky job. Make sure that if/when you go for a test drive that she boosts all the way (nearly to max) as they can be in safety mode (boosts about 3 quarters of the way) and this indicates something is wrong, could be something simple, or not! A decent unmolested example will often fetch more than a modded car, but most tend to add their own touch anyway. SWB are much rarer than the estate (which i have) but the extra space can be usefull. I would say that it is worth waiting for a good example as there are a nough dogs out there, and whatever your budget is.... add an extra £500 as there will inevitibly be something that needs doing to her. Good luck and keep us posted :thumbup1:
  14. just saw the ad.... pretty crap to be honest... i'd do if for the cash though..... because i'm worth it!
  15. looks like your trying to sqeeze one out.. :pinch:
  16. Right - i bought some cheap hardpipes which came with some bloody decent clips to hold the silicone pipes in place, unfortunately the fasteners on the clips are quite chunky so need to be on top of the hoses meaning that although they do the job really well, i think they look untidy as you can see the fastening mechanism. My question is this: Does anyone know where to get some decent clips to hold the silicone in place? I am using heavy duty jubilee clips at th emoment which don't look too bad, but i want to get some that are really neat and tidy... Any ideas? Thanks peeps
  17. Agreed - i might have a punt, then argue the toss later.
  18. If you don't want to go manual, you can pick up an auto box pretty cheap, there are a few for sale on here at the moment, check the for sale section. But as mentioned above, a couple of fluid changes and a good clean of the filter might get it working. I did and got a good few miles out of her before the box gave up for good. http://pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.216 do a couple of searches mate, quite a common problem and lots of advice to be found. Lets see some pics of your new motor :thumbup1:
