Subframe bushes, removal - Options?
Thanks for all the replies guys. Really appreciate it. Dan, the kit in the link above was including a new outer sleeve as many people remove this, not realising that they need to retain it, if fitting new Poly bushes. I think I will go with Poly bushes on the sub frame and diff mounts. I have already started getting the old bushes out, (yes they are a barsteward to remove)

Subframe bushes, removal - Options?
I have a spare sub frame that I'm going to get powder coated and swap the bushes out for new Poly ones. Looking at the various "How to's" on the subject. would those of you who have done this recommend getting the new poly bushes that come with the outer sleeve, like these form CZP? https://conceptzperformance.com/czp-subframe-sleeve-kit-w-energy-suspension-bushings-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-55400-74102_p_3146.php It sounds like the worst part is actually cleaning the left over rubber off the outer sleeve, once the inner sleeve and rubber goo has been removed. (I was going to burn them out, as per the many videos on the net show) As an aside, has anyone here actually fitted SPL solid mounts on the sub frame or diff? If so how bad is the ride/noise? All advice welcome, Thanks

Making some changes?
I have finally found a rear bumper that I would be happy with. Unfortunately it was not designed for a LWB:angry:, so I am looking at adapting a spare Strosek bumper that I will be getting from Alic shortly. This isn't going to be a quick fix, as with the help of my brother, who used to work with CF and mounds etc, I will be doing all the work myself. I will update this thread over the coming months, with my progress.

Making some changes?
Yes that would be ideal Stephen. I am a fan of the diffuser tbh. I may have solution where I can adapt a bumper that fits to the filler sections on the rear panels, and look at modifying the under side to fit a Twinz diffuser, or make one myself. How hard can it be :whistling:

Making some changes?
Hi Richie, yes I know. I wont be changing my whole exhaust, just the rear sections to get the angle and the "fat" silencer section, like the PG system

Larger intercooler issue
If I undo my IC bracket bolts the ICs spring outwards by approx 15-20mm. That's how much they are forced inwards, I had to slacken off the IC piping as well to get more movement. Seems strange that they causing an issue now though, where before there was none.

Making some changes?
Ok, so over the winter I'm looking at dropping the rear subframe and fitting new bushes, checking the brakes line etc and re coating the Underside with Dinitrol again. Whilst doing this I am going to take the rear bumper off, check everything else out. Now the Zenon and Demon rear bumperthat are made for the wide arch kit, from Zed Centre I think look very dated now, and I am thinking of changing the look of the rear. I think that the tailpipes could be larger, and look at little lost on the current setup Trouble is with having the wide arse kit, fitting a new bumper will not blend in with the rear wing fillers. Now I'm sure that a good body shop will be able to sort that out and marry up the two panels, but going the Twinz route isn't cheap I guess. But would give me way more exhaust options aswell? I really like the look of the Twinz rear bumper, and love the exhaust setup below from Z1 Decisions decisions...... Incase you haven't the exhaust from this PG system

Larger intercooler issue
I removed both the CC and washer bottle, even with custom brackets, when I fitted my Twinz front bumper I had to pull the ICs hard, towards the centre of the car. Fag paper clearance between the inside of the bumper.

Boxhill to Brighton Sunday 18th Septemeber
Glad everyone had an enjoyable time today. After talking with some of you all today I think it will become a regular event. Perhaps one at the start of the year once the weather kicks in, and another later on towards the end of our summer. Sound like a plan guys?:cool2: Thanks again for the the great turnout, especially to those that travelled a long way for this. Nice to meet some new faces (and cars). Wish I could have got a photo at times, looking in my rear view mirror seeing a line of shiney Zeds stretched out behind me. Ash your exhaust without the db killers must be deafening. Sounded great in the tunnel btw:yes:
