  1. that sound good.... how will you access it... steps or ladder, front or back of garage.... cover to stop any not so observant people falling in it? LOL..... :)
  2. LOL.. just doing mine in all clear and will have a set of 99 style rears for sale soon.... not sure how long you want to wait...
  3. LOL... yeah, did all that.... tags had been cut off the seat belts and the interior had been re-done (in leather) can't exactly be sue what hasn't been changed other than the VIN plate... the rear plastic moulding said Nov 92.... not exactly true..lol.. (well maybe that's when they where manufactured) This would be a lot quicker that going to Nissan.... lol... (which I did as well, phoned them actually :))
  4. Tried for ages to find the year of manufacture of my Z (Jap import) finally got the info from AndyP (and confirmed by Nissan when I asked at the parts department) anyway just browsing the Oz site and came across this, checked it against Andy's info and it looks correct.... http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.79 can a mod check it and maybe add the link in the General FAQ's somewhere.. cheers.
  5. may be of interest.... http://www.directcircuit.com/products/300ZX-Z32-Clear-Tail-Light-Lenses.html
  6. See what I can do... already on the car, so pics of the car with the reverse lights on... is that what you're after? Will be back home on Wednesday and can take some pics then....
  7. they sell them on a US site if you want to wait for them..... I used ceiling light diffuser... 2 foot square, cost about a fiver from an electrical wholesaler.. be care full when cutting it as it will crack if you do it too fast and hard....lol... I used half a hacksaw blade taped up on one end as a handle but you can get the purpose handles for them. I also glued/siliconed the diffuser into place so that it sat nice against the lens and didn't rattle about. I also sprayed the insides silver and did both indicator and break ... not too sure about it yet, will decide when they're on the car. got led's and resistors to fit as well.
  8. LOL... not too hard just takes patience and time..... there is a guide somewhere on here.... there is a little screw in the middle you have to remove. then heat them up in an oven at about 75 - 100 C for about 5 min (face up), take them out use flat head screwdrivers pry the clips a bit, then start at one end, try not to twist against the front lens too much (it will dent and remove paint), you may have to put them back in the oven a few times, eventually they will come apart...
  9. ebay…. Did a search on “led white fog” they should be 1156’s when you say housing, I assume you’re talking about the housing for the centre section with the reverse lights in it… there are two pods (one either side) that hold the bulbs, these come off (one screw)..
  10. I took my housings off and re-sprayed the inside silver (was looking a bit faded), with a nice new set of LED bulbs... very bright...lol....:)
  11. you could try screwfix direct .... worth a look www.screwfix.com there might also be a store close to you..save on postage.
  12. LOL... sorry for thread jacking....
  13. just finished my 99spec mod on the headlights... I had the inserts sprayed silver... now just need some good weather so I can put them on the car (i don't have a garage or carport ). Thanks to car mad for the inserts and dan for the HIDs & other bulbs. Also did a mod on the tail lights... waiting for the red led bulbs and resistors...
  14. if you earth pin 5 you get what phutumusch says..... when low beams (HIDs) are on you can flash the high beam and the low beam stays on. when no lights are on and you flash the high beam it also flashes the low beam. the only way I know to do the full fix is as in the link in one of my previous posts.
  15. Are they still on the car? there are about 5 clips that you have to remove and the metal covers that also hold it on.... as far as I can see (had when I did nine) you have to get them off the car (and that takes about 2 hours, crap and awkward job). As above, paint stripper (head gun) or the oven are the best ways.
  16. Hi, There are four adjustment screws/nuts, two for each beam, one horizontal and one vertical…… sorry tying not to be patronising… You can see the first photo here shows the back of the unit clearly showing three of the grey adjustment units and the fourth near the top of the low beam is a shaft… http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.346 this shows the light unit in more details with pictures of different adjustment screws and their replacement / repair. http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.349 finally the parts list showing a diagram of the light unit, not clearly showing all adjusters. http://www.300zx.lv/catalog/?gr=E&sec=260 you might have the damaged cog issue as well…. You’ll soon know when turning the adjusters dose nothing…lol…
  17. I might be up for "speed knitting" !!!!
  18. nice job.... where did you get them done and how much?
  19. Hi, my searches so far seem to indicate that I have to take the intake plenum off to get all the throttle gear off.... i want to replace the fuel hose under the throttle bar right at the front of the engine... need alien fingers... lol... any advise?..... cheers.
  20. LOL... sorry can't commit due to my work... I work 4 out of 9 weekends.... and so need a date to work around.... it will still only make three of us...LOL..... how many of us are there in Devon... (don't say 3).....
  21. for some reason this link no longer works so you have to go to the site: http://tech.aus300zx.com/ and then type "Headlight Disassembly" in the search window.... it should be the one at the top of the page...
  22. ditto.... and I didn't see it in 3D.... so how do you think I feel.... LOL...
