  1. Also I'm looking a link to a step by step guide to do the conversion.
  2. I'm about to remove my rear lights and attempt to convert them to 99 Spec. I hope to be able to do it without replacing the black gooey sealant but if I can't does anyone know where I can get the sealant?
  3. If he was purely driving at 159mph for no justifiable reason then I think he should have been disqualified from driving and maybe even loose his job.
  4. I suppose though if a friend or family member had a gun pointed at their head they would accept that the reponse from the police would take sometime because they didn't exceed the speed limit, I personally would want them there asap.
  5. I'm not justifying the police officers actions, however, we are not in possession of the full facts and as such are unable to draw a reliable conclusion to these circumstances. Granted it sounds ridiculous that he has been cleared but we do need the full facts. The police have a hard enough time getting the job with the lack of support from the public, ie I saw such and such do this but I'm not making a statement! Well that will get a conviction....NOT! Everyone is too eager too slag others off without knowing the full facts. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and if found guilty it must be beyond reasonable doubt. The police does not tracks to test vehicles on either and they do have to keep on top of their driving skills and from my knowledge of police driving courses safety is paramount and they are very intensive, they do not just say here are the keys. He will have undergone at least 10 weeks intensive driving instruction. The courses are hard and they do have to keep up their skills. Again I feel 159mph seems too fast. What people do not realise that there are a lot of people out there who think they are good drivers but they tend to be the worst because they are over confident and normally arrogant which makes them dangerous. Just because you have never had an accident either, they may be down to luck. You may have made risky decisions and got away with it but a police driver is constantly accessing road conditions, etc... and deciding whether to continue. If they can justify the speed they are travelling at and the situation warrants it then there should be no problems. Finally you would not believe the obstacles police officers have to overcome to get their job done, they are continually have to explain their actions. I can assure you in everyday driving police officers are not above the law although the Road Traffic Act does provide exemptions and until we know the full circumstances of this particular incident none of us can pass judgement. I know I have gone on a bit but it annoys me when people make assumptions.
  6. Anyone travelling the general direction to the event through Salisbury? Or going to the services at Chievely? I'm leaving home and going through Salisbury - Chippenham. Anyone else?
  7. I remember wanting one sometime ago, before I could drive and then it was only a dream and forgot all about them. I then bought another car of my dreams a Lotus Elise! I loved it and would buy another (if finances allowed) but couldn't justify tieing up £20,000 in a car so sold it and while deciding what to replace it with and something that could match its 0-60 I shortlisted the Mitsubishi GTO, Toyota Supra, Nissan 300ZX the Mazda RX7. Supra's are too expensive to buy, GTO to expensive to maintain, and RX7 are obviously underpowered as nearly everyone for sale as been modified. Leaving only the fantastic 300! Here I am today.
  8. It sounds like it is an import that he has masterminded and he has never actually driven it because he's offering full tax and MOT. It's also done quite well for the miles that it has not got any major damage to the front from the all the pedestrians he must have hit from being 'glued to the pavement!'
  9. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18238&item=4548907747&rd=1 Another four wheel drive Z? Have we all missed something or is there a four wheel drive pixie going out modding unsuspecting Z owners cars?
  10. What you have to remember is the article was in The Sun, so there was probably a large dose of writers poetic licence. I can assure you it is not an offence to smoke while driving, well not a normal cigarette anyway! There is every possibility he was speeding, not the most sensible thing to do when so well known.
  11. Cheers I'll PM him again.
  12. I had a silver Ford Escort 1.3 Ghia, that was great as a student.
  13. I would challenge anyone to find the supplier, I think we should arrange a meet at their customer carpark. Mind you thinking about it that was probably their only customer!!!
  14. I have now found my membership number, I think it is 486 but I have never received a joing pack! Sorry to keep going on but I want my stickers etc... Help please.
  15. That was what I was thinking and climb out!!!
  16. Thanks, I've seen one garage 2140 mm wide but once inside I'm not convinced I will get out the car!!!
  17. I'm, looking to buy a new house with a garage for my Z. I'll live in the garage and the Z can have the lounge. Only joking but I need to know the width, mirror to mirror. I can't measure mine it is currently 150 miles away. Does anyone know?
  18. If only I'd been that switched on as a kid!!! Cool tune, smart video.
  19. I appreciate each to their own but I personally feel Marmite should be banned in public and my house, it's more anti-social than smoking. The mere smell of it makes me heave but not quite as much as fig rolls. They are another food item that should be outlawed.
  20. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=425862 This is something strange froma Subaru owner!

  22. I've been considering this as well, would like to know the pro's and con's.
  23. I bought mine off Ebay, aluminium look, brightens up the car a treat. The only thing I would consider not doing is putting the two windscreen air vents surrounds on as they reflect up in the windscreen, not particualry annoying but you notice it when you are driving.
  24. Who is going to pay £7,000 for a car worth probably £2,500 unmodded? If anything he should give it away to someone he doesn't like and put the Focus On This sunstrip in it!
