  1. I also have a 206 GTi and i've just found there website (hoping for help with wheel arch extensions) and then I thought post a question and within a short while I'll get a reply! Just like on here. NO!!! :( I then check the user database. They have a massive 256 users! How many Peugeot GTi's must there be out there. Second I see how many users online. Guess how many.....................one - me! It then tells you the most they ever had online in one go was an incredible 15!!! I know 15, where do they get a server to cope with such demands! I appreciate our site so much but this makes me love it even more.
  2. I've sprayed all three of mine, not quite as shiny as I'd like but they look good. I'll put them on tomorrow.
  3. I saw something chrome on ebay a while back, can't remember if it was the arms or the blades though. I am in the process of spray chroming mine. I'll let you know how I do. You sound like you have my skill levels. LOL
  4. I've discovered if you push down on the short part of the mechanism, ie the 4" part at the end furthest from the motor bolt it comes off a doddle. Thanks gents.
  5. Please elaborate, i'm not the mechanic type, more bodge it yourself!
  6. How about the rear arm?
  7. Help, how do I remove them?
  8. I'm assuming as my warning light came on there is a problem with the fluid level as the assembly is only about 9 months old. However the light goes off if I turn the car off, restart and continue without problems. Anyway, what fluid do I need and who do I get it from?
  9. Please could you change it so when I'm working nights that it is not displayed as a full moon. Things seem to go pearshaped when there's a full moon. I'll notify you by PM of the days to avoid. LOL
  10. I like these sweets but can't buy them because of the advert, reminds of paedophiles! No offence meant to anyone.
  11. What does a Japanese one look like? If it's radically different to UK then you do run the risk of drawing attention.
  12. What I don't understand is how long some people will wait for sex.......because it's not right to have it until you're married, I've got that right haven't I?
  13. It appears to be a Japanese thing to put oversized front / rear bumpers? WTF is that all about?
  14. Sgt C, yours is only slightly italic and non standard text but still easily read. You're quite right as well, would have to do something really wrong.
  15. I've just been told I can't bid on it! How will I sleep. LOL
  16. I'll be honest I think mine is smaller nad well and truly illegally spaced but who cares, "you pay ya money and take ya chance" lifes a game!
  17. That would probaly get you in trouble Chunk, just because of the altered 3 but at the end of the day we all know of you on here, know your name and know what your plate is meant to read and that is my feelings on personalised plates - as long as it means something to you and friends and family understand it then money well spent.
  18. But again I doubt a police officer would take much notice of Chunk's. You'll find attention is drawn when people have fancy, illegible text, or put screw caps in different colours to make letters and numbers read different.
  19. That almost looks legal, numbers look a bit skinny, don't think average police officer would bat an eyelid.
  20. Chunks is slightly smaller than as defined in highway code, plus the spacing is illegal but I doubt it would upset the average police officer. I can also see this is being pedantic but Chunk's plate is not displaying the BS145a mark - a requirement for reflectivity however his plate is shaped and may have been removed. Like I said depends on the police officer.
  21. As I said most would at the most say get it changed or if I stop you again you'll get a ticket.
  22. Obviously non standard text, size, etc is illegal and could get you a £30 fine but you only tend to get stopped by police travelling behind you and as a result they don't see the front. Furthermore most police wont turn around to stop someone for such a minor traffic offence so although I don't advise it you will probably get away with a non standard front plate for far longer than a rear one. Also getting a fine would be unlucky unless of course you are stopped in West Midlands force area, policy is to issue a fixed penalty notice ie £30. Most police would tell you off and advise you to change it. The next step would be to issue you a VDRS (Vehicle defect rectification scheme) this gives you 14 days to rectify the fault and get it stamped by MOT statiion and send to ticket office and as long you comply there will be no further action. However if they do stop you and find too many faults it may be a summons for court. Finally if you have got a personalised plate then repeat offences and a diligent police officer could inform DVLA and it is possible after 2-3 times for DVLA to withdraw plate!
  23. I've had mine twelve months now and the only expense I've had was tyres and a service although I did replace the Hicas arms. Other than she's been fine.
  24. Cheers More reassurring, as it does this only when cold, not even booting it but completely dies down after a couple of minutes. I may get someone to have a look at it when the oil is changed.
