  1. Yep, and at the moment it seems to be mine!!!
  2. I have now found out that both cars have a water pump problem...are they doing it in sympathy of each other? The next problem is that the garage can see the leak from the water pump but don't know what the cause is!
  3. I'll have to wait to find out as the car is at the garage where they are trying to find the cause of a coolant leak.
  4. It came with about two feet of piping so I doubt without buying any extra it will reach under the nose panel.
  5. I guess I will have to wait until I get the car back then I can have another look. Hopefully I can figure out how to install it in series for extra cooling. At this point in time it only looks like I have enough piping to mount it on the radiator. Wherever I mount it though, which way up should I feed the pipes, from the top or the bottom?
  6. Ok, my mistake but there is something under the wings with three letter initials, I think!
  7. I only have two pipes at the bottom of my radiator! Then there are a further two either side of the radiator which don't go anywhere other than out and back in to the radiator.
  8. I think they are called PCV's but don't quote me. I don't think you should remove them though.
  9. Hi I live in Fordingbridge, Hampshire and I am looking for a garage that specializes in Jap Performance cars. Does anyone know of one? Z-Tech is just that little bit too far.
  10. "Yampie" means MAD, LOOPY, MENTAL etc... well at least it does in the Black Country where I am originally from and hence since my little dog is as mad as a fish he is called Yampie. Mine you I don't shout it too loud if I'm out in public!!!
  11. I will have a look when I get her back. I may fit it to the existing radiator but I will nose around.
  12. I would love to go but I think I'm tied up with The New Forest Marathon... ...no I'm not running in it!!!
  13. I'm confused now, I never saw a cooler when I fitted the Apexi under the nose panel and secondly I have the transmission oil pipes leading into the bottom of the radiator? It is definatly a UK car though.
  14. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Hope it does the job.
  15. For £22 if you are prepared to take the gamble try it. If you don't like it, buy an Apexi and put that on Ebay and recoup some of the money!
  16. I haven't found it. The auto gearbox is cooled through the radiator isn't it?
  17. IIRC, unless they now use electronic timing chips, the indicator flashes as a result of a bimettalic strip which heats up when current flows and then bends due to the two different metals as it heats up and breaks the contact, the current stops flowing, the strip cools and makes contact again. The process goes on. Maybe there is a problem here? Does it happen on both sides and what happens with the hazards?
  18. Nissan stated it HAS to be Dextron in the auto gearbox. Plus Nissan don't seem overly expensive for the gearbox oil IIRC it was under £5 for a litre and it takes 4 -5 litres.
  19. I've found this but I don't feel it fully explain an install. http://www.mindserv.co.uk/atf_cooler.htm Anyone got any other tips and where is the best place to fit, on the radiator or under the nose panel? I have a UK TT.
  20. Camera vans and speed cameras are not operated by the police they tend to be Highways Agency although they still have the appearance of a police vehicle but definitely not police.
  21. I've had 2 Rovers and 2 MG's and I had very few problems, IIRC the reliability problems were more with the early MGF's.
  22. Well they will insist on lliving 6 feet below sea level and in a notorious area for hurricanes! I've thought about moving house on to the flood plains of the River Avon as long as the nearest petrol station is one of the most expensive in the country!!!
