The newer the model the better as every new release model got better reviews. Personally I would also look at the MG TF, they perform better if that's what she wants as well and I think they have more road presence.

She was once my daily ride for 10 months but then I moved and it was costing me over a full tank of fuel a week just to get to work, let alone going out so now I have a diesel for work and she comes out when I miss her or it's nice or when she works!

I moved house and because I was further from work bought a diesel for my daily drive. You would think then should I be unfortunate enough to be without the diesel for whatever reason I could you the Z for short term travelling to work. But no the Z has a few problems so I have a little tinker and she is getting closer to working but then the diesel decides to overheat! I'm now carless until they are both fixed! What are the chances of that...... So as you can imagine I am seriously p***ed off at the moment. I've even had to cancel the Z's new exhaust fitting.

Mine ran like a bag of nails when one spark plug had died? But it didn't sound as bad as your description.

Ultimately I think it boils down to personal preference. For example, manual is quicker to 60 but the auto is said to be quicker to 100. However a lot of people have problems with the auto boxes. I would suggest, even though I have an auto that the manual would be more fun to drive, it's almost impossible to wheel spin an auto which probably means it useful for drifting if you are that way inclined. The pro's and con's go on..........

Perspex panel is about £35 from ZCentre, I don't recall if that is with or without postage. Bad news is I don't think he is back until 12/09/05 from holiday.

Did you see the two white lines on the road surface? What speed were you doing at that point. If you were doing over 77mph then you may well get a ticket (official guidelines are speed limit plus 10% plus another 2 mph) also remember your speedo won't be 100% accurate and generally you are not going as fast as your speedo says. Finally if you have not received the notice within 14 days then it is highly likely that you wont get a ticket!

I burst an oil pipe going to the radiator and lost some oil.

What sort of prices am I looking at for cambelt?

I assume to replace the pump I drain out the coolant, remove the fan and I can get access to the pump and out it comes? Or maybe it's a little more complex. Any help gratefully accepted.

Looks like it is coming from the water pump, does this mean the water pump needs replacing? The alternator belt slipped and pulled at a funny angle on the pulley wheel attached to the pump and then the leak started.

It's getting to the point that I'm turning the radio off for several songs. Everyday I seem to hear another song with the chipmunks doing backing vocals! First it was Akon, then Simon Webb and now Mike Stringer from the streets. Who writes the lyrics?

How do I adjust the alternator tension, I've found the bolt but it doesn't seem to do anything!

I didn't have any problems but to be honest there are any excessively curved surfaces for the kit to go over. Just make sure the kit is warm before you put it on, that way it bends easier.
