  2. cool i'll give them ring to have a look over it.. the gear jumpin between 2 gears is at 49/50mph .. got some smoke... not a lot not really, cannot tell the colour betwwen white or blue seems more white.. but its only at certain times... when been on a run and just going round my road on tickover it lets a couple of light puffs out. or when it has sat on the drive for a few mins ticking over then go to pull away.... one time it looked a little blue so guess turbo seals may be on there way... but can live with that.. any others ideas?? oh and the car car sat for quite a few weeks before i got it.. so may have somehting to do with it? checked all coolant etc oil gearbox oil all good and it has not dropped any oil sincei have had i home.. can tell as my rive way is nice and clean..
  3. yeah i was watching this one on ebay i nearly put a bid in congrats looks a great car
  4. i get that a lot.. and my lil girll with us its all down to the weather and climate if it goes from being hot to cold and raingin or the other way round i tend to get them..
  5. r not sure.. maybee yassa knows of somewhere... sometimes the gearbox feels very.. erm don;t really knwo how to explain it when sitting in gear it feels like its going up and down between 2 gears.... maybee. i suppose from what you say and previous experience it could easily be the TPS cheers
  6. Just got home from picking up my zed :) :) :) well pleased with it and big thanks to richard for a great ride out and test drive got stuck on the m25 for hour and half.. so at least i know it does not overheat... couple of small Q's Firstly the auto box had a rebuild last year.. if you hoof it proper hoof it in first it won't change up to 2nd just bounces off the limiter (only let it do that once).. lift off slightly and back on it changes up.. is this normal.. or what??? and slight drinding on front brakes but guess thats where its sat for a while.. will monitor also a small oil leak.. apparently had it for a long time and does not use hardly any oil.. looks like coming from rear of engine but not been under it yet.. any early ideas?? think thats it for now.. well please lovely drive pulls hard great on motorway. and well pleased as only used 1/4 tank fuel getting home :p
  7. oh yeah... wel the world should run off GMT
  8. Apparently on august 7th at 34 mins and 56 seconds past 12 the world was goning to end acorrding to some nutters :smash: as the date will have read.. 12:34.56 07/08/09 which is 123456789 this won't happen again for 1000years.. so hope you treasured the second... oh well will have to wait for the next big event for the world to end.... :p
  9. definatly no where near that cost...... as long as you did no damageto the cable it would be a case of reconnecting.. not a long job.. even to change the cable is not a long job but it should be logged with bt.. check with bt again if not question it all the way as it should be done under bt
  10. cheers guys thanks clears that up

  15. Well here it goes little while ago i took my bro in law to go get his new car.. bmw 318 on a t plate e46 shape.. nice car.. just not for me all about the badge for him any ways he gets it home after couple of days decides he hates it so after 3 months they decide to sell. they sold it for 1700 on sunday night then realised they don;t have a car and both need to move their 2 children around and get to work..:nono: so ask me if i ahve any sugrestions of anything up to3k but rather around the 2k mark so i go ahead and recommend a mk4 golf gti 1.8t (we got one its great) lexus is200 some nice astras etc etc me then decides he likes none of those and wants either a scoob or a bmw convertable.. eventually got him to understand on their wages and the miles they do they could never in a million years afford the insurance and petrol on a scoob. decides to carry on looking on the web for a bmw and still looks for scoobs expecting me to take him to reading to look at a red one obviolsly thrashed.. so i refused.. then i take him to the auctions on mon night there is a nice mg zs? (the middle one) with teh v6 (they had the zt v6 before and loved it) but nope don;t want that.. some really nice fast family cxars there.. nope i don;t like them he says.. he finds a bmw converable about 30 miles from us last night so i agree to take him up there all convertables in the e36 are out of his price range exceoptthis one.. is a 323 in red auto for 2200 with 70k on it go have a look it all looks okay drives okay needs new tires.. defo not my thing had a respray piont this all out to him and sya its entirely up to him as its not really my sort of thing. and he would never get a proper check done on it.. anyways he loves it and buys it.. drives great just as a bm should its a nice motor really.. gets home she does not like it never driven an auto so not able to apparetly :headvswal anyways get a call this morning nope we don't liek it gonna sell it on and find another. fine but don't expect me to help .. i tried, you did not listen you ended up with a L reg red covertable that you don't like could have bought a nice is200 or a golf or a4 etc etc ahhhhhhh rant over
