  1. I'm glad you're feeling better Tony - I've had a couple of dramatic run-ins with low beams ... not a pleasant thing to do. Thanks all for your words regarding the way JapFest turned out for me. It's a real shame because last year was terrific! Hopefully JAE will turn out to be good and make up for last Saturday. All the best! Dan

That's what I've done (going against tradition and recommendation of fishless cycling) - I've got two mature Zebra Danios and a small shoal (5) Neon Tetras. They did the trick and are now very happy in the tank. Will be keeping them and introducing more fish next weekend. Need something to control the algae growth and a few shrimps for cleaning-up purposes! Cheers! Dan

My tropical tank has only just finished "cycling" properly - took over a month and a half - and I'm now looking to slowly increase the stocking level. It's far smaller than yours (a 60L hexagonal tank) but I must admit that it is a heck of a lot easier to maintain than the cold water tank I had before. It really is imparative that the tank has cycled properly before you add the fish and do it very slowly as you need to give the bacteria time to adjust to the increasing waste levels - you don't want Nitrite spikes! I've been doing this for a while now so if you have any questions let me know. All the best, Dan
  4. Were you the one I saw doing a 360 whilst I was holding on to my gazebo for dear life during the storm ... Dan
  5. Not so funny for us traders. I had to hold on for dear life to stop my gazebo from taking off. Had to ask three passers by to help out. End result was four completely soaked individuals, a gazebo with its frame completely bent out of shape (chucked in the bin when we left) and about £150 worth of stock (which was out on the table and display cabinet) ruined. Also had damage to my car from an item which came flying across the field from another stand and the bonnet stay (which was holding the bonnet open when the gust of wind appeared) slammed and crushed the cowling under the wipers. And that's just the mayhem it caused to my gazebo and car. Behind me there were two heavy duty pop-up gazebos which did take off and hit a few cars as well as people. Don't think there were any major injuries (the ambulance was out there in no time) but I do hope the owners had taken out a public liability insurance policy. JapFest was complete Sh*te from my perspective. Weather was crap, didn't get half the amount of customers as last year, didn't even make enough money to cover the rent cost of the space and to top it all off ended up with a binned gazebo and damaged car and a nasty cold to boot! I think I'm still wet from the rain. What happened to all the people who PM'd me prior to the show to say they were coming along to pick up (and pay) for various items. I went through hell to try and get them delivered from all parts of the world in time for the show and brought them all but noone showed  The trader next to me was very surprised I got all that stuff in the boot/backseat and wife in the front! Anyway - rant over - at the moment I really don't feel like doing any other shows but I'm sure that come JAE I will have forgotten all about saturday's events! All the best fellas! Dan
  6. Like Chunk says, the bend work is different from the cats back. It's unfortunately not as simple as taking a LWB exhaust, chopping a lenght of it and Bob's your uncle! (if only ....) I highly recommend Leon at Alunox - he did my exhaust and it's a bloody work of art! Dan
  7. In the fruit/veg section of an American supermarket: "Please don't squeeze the fruit and vegetables, ask for Julie" ;) Dan
  8. I have spoken with Mark last night and he tells me he is currently doing up the shop front so may not be easily available. Keep trying - he will get back to you eventually. Cheers, Danny
  9. Best way to free up the air intake side of the business is to install a cone filter. Many makes about (Blitz, HKS, etc) but I would strongly recommend A'PEXi's (not only because I'm the main A'PEXi induction kit supplier to this forum but also because they are rated very highly in independent tests). I've already quoted prices above so feel free to contact me any time if you're interested in purchasing one. All the best, Dan
  10. Aha!! They were heading along the A435 towards J3 of the M42 ... Suppose they could be heading down to London via the M42/M40.
  11. Hi all, Came out my drive this morning thinking it was going to be just an ordinary day (or as ordinary as a Friday 13th can be). Went down the road to the mini island and was waiting my turn to enter traffic when lo and behold some very exotic material came cruising past ... 2x Ferrari Enzo (one red, one black) 1x Lamborghini Murcielago spyder (or whatever they call the open top version) and 1x something which looked like a Spyker (not sure though but have seen it on TopGear). All being driven by young chaps ... am I missing something? Is there a show on somewhere or perhaps one of those "cannonball ralleys? I don't think I've managed to retrieve my jaw from the seat yet and I must get the car valleted after drooling so much in it. I don't think anyone of us at that island could believe our eyes (or ears). There are some lovely cars out there but however much I'd like to own one (or two, or three - and remember, I've owned a Ferrari 355 spider and Porsche C4S a few years ago ...) I still love my 300ZX with all its quirks and faults (and currently dents and scratches). It too turns heads and gets little kids pointing (as well as grown men and women on occassion) but only costs a thousandth of the price of a new exotic. I raise my glass (containing some lukewarm water as I sit here at my desk in the office) and salute the 300! Just thought I'd share this on what is for many a crap day (friday 13th and all that ...) All the best, Danny
  12. You'll retain the air flow meter (AFM). The two pipes merge to one point which attaches to the AFM. In theory this will limit the amount of air you can pass through and the ultimate solution would be to have two AFM's (one for each bank) but that would require a completely remapped ECU, etc. HTH Dan
  13. Hi Glenn, Got your e-mail and have responded. Single A'PEXi: £85 + £5 special delivery Dual A'PEXis: £140 + £8 special delivery (must have a confirmed order for the pipe work with Smithy though) Let me know which way you want to go with this. No A'PEXi's in stock at the moment - ETA middle of next week. All the best, Dan

Hi Matt! Congratulations on your purchase! I wish you many happy miles! I'm a trader based in Warwickshire (just south of Birmingham) so am not too far away from you. I always suggest the following to new owners: Get the car looked over by a specialist (there are a couple in the vicinity). Get the cambelts changed (vital) and bring the engine up to proper working order before adding modifications. Once you're happy the car is mechanically in the best state it can be, then start adding the mods. The usual first mods are induction kit, cat-back exhaust, boost controller & chip. As an official trader on this forum I can supply all the above but I would recommend you subscribe to the forum prior to ordering. It's £20 well spent! Let me know if you have any further questions - I'd be happy to help. All the best, Dan
  15. Yep, we [DTA-Motorsport] do them - well, our Dutch company does. I can get a price for you. Alternatively, I do the silicone version £160 plus fiver postage. Identical to the Samco jobbies but unbranded. Can be had in Black, Blue, Red, Yellow and Purple. These are special order items so please allow upto 2 weeks delivery time. Note - these are not on our website yet but will be just before JapFest when I've had some stock in (need to get some photographs taken ...) All the best, Dan
  16. Hi Alex, As discussed on the phone - will package the front bar up tonight and post via Special Delivery tomorrow morning to arrive Wednesday morning. Speak soon. Danny
  17. Yes, well spotted guys ... the ones I currently sell have a different front bar - the rear is the same and will fit standard suspension setups. I can still get hold of the front bar as in the above picture but only by special request - these do not have the same torsional rigidity as the current front bars. The attached pic is not the best but it's all I've got access to at the moment. FYI: the pair sell for £140 (individually they are £75) Cheers! Dan
  18. Sure am mate - will have a trade stand. Depending on whether some of my suppliers can get their finger out I may even have some goodies to sell! ;) See you there mate - I'll bring your paperweight. Cheers, Dan
  19. I've just added my name to the list in the other thread ;) Cheerio! Dan
  20. Thanks for the comment Matt! Appreciate it. Need to sort out your crystal paperweight mate! Yep, £85 + a fiver special delivery and one of the best filters in the industry is yours! New stock arriving just in time for JapFest (21st May @ Castle Coombe). You can contact me on info@dta-motorsport.co.uk or call me on 07044016586 (for the next week please phone after 6pm as I'm on a consulting job). All the best, Dan
  21. Please add me to the list as well Vijay - many thanks mate! Hope you're ok - haven't spoken with you for ages! All the best, Dan
  22. Before you order make absolutely sure you're getting the correct kit, ie 2+2 or 2+0 (SWB). There are infinitely more SWB's in the US than 2+2's and they may just assume you need the SWB kit rather than the 2+2. An expensive mistake to make ... Cheers, Dan
  23. If you can get a price for that bumper (polyurethane only) then I'd be interested. Keep me informed mate! Dan
  24. DOH!!! (bangs head on desk) ... Thanks Yas! Dan
  25. Can I ask what make the front bumper is on the black Zed in your sig? Think I've seen it before on the Knightsbridge Zed but not sure ... Thanks! Dan
