  1. shame your not near me i work for the oldest nissan dealer in the contry, will ask the master techs if they have any ideas that may help.
  2. im 100% its the same zed in the pictures. could be over here now i guess, it was paul clare who built it and he worked for Minardi F1 in europe at one point it think,
  3. just dug out an old banzai mag and some of those pics are from a zed in there its the banzai Nissan special edition , but the zeds not in the uk. its in australia so any one thinking of looking be very careful. im 100% its the same zed got the mag in front of me. it belonged to a guy called paul clare, down under
  4. looked at the videos a few times, even spoke to our engineering shop about making one, they were going to have a go, but my new projects a SWB so might have to import one of these...
  5. cheers for the advise guys, mines a non abs model anyway lol, so no abs unit anywhere.... i can use the ramps at work to change them so should make life a bit easier. will be giving the the hammerite treatment on a short term anyway given it took 2 solid days for my mates at the body shop to fix the rust problem im relived, can get on with my black ones engine again now.
  6. after spending most of the weekend working on it, i booked my new zed to be MOt'd today, really didn't expect it to pass, and given the mechanics tried really hard to fail it, but it PASSSED got a few advisories, need some new tie bars at the front, and some new brake lines at some point. just need to tax it and can take it for a drive. cant wait. they have given it a nickname though, "leviathan" because its green covered in snow and it moved across our frozen car park with all the grace of a mating elephant.... apparently, i thought it looked great. :tt2:
  7. my TT had the HKS super fires ones, but i avoid them if i were you, over priced, and when i started to strip my engine 2 had cracked, they were only 8 months old.
  8. cheers guys, any reason i cant put my TT's dash into the Na to test its works?
  9. my new zeds rev counter doesn't work, sometimes it reads something but not anywhere near what it should, but my blitz R-vit is reading a correct RPM from the consult port assume its just the counter itself that's failed, just want to know if the ecu reads from the same source as the dash, then i can rule out the sender. thanks.
  10. looks good, front end could do with toning down though... there's not going to be a new Z, not by conventional terms anyway, there is talk (no joke heard this from a someone high up) of the next zed being a hybrid, or even a full electric zed. which given what i've seen of the development could be pretty kool,
  11. really? our MOT testers seemed to think it was fine. will be taking my TTs OEM brake set-up, then using the new handbrake for the TT.
  12. just wanted to check it wasn't somewhere else, don't need abs anyway lol. unfortunately its locked up at work now, so will have a look Thursday, only remember seeing 2 though.
  13. spent ages trying to get round my handbrake problems with my Na, and in doing so have modified my S13's old hydraulic handbrake to fit in the existing place with the OE ratchet, so its road legal. but then realised, unlike my TT which i did the modifying on as its in bits so made it easier, that the ABS module isn't in the boot...??? does this mean i have a non abs zed??? or are they somewhere else on the NA (both are LWB) if i do have a non abs, do i have 2 separate brake lines going to the rear? so how would i plumb my nice new handbrake in? on the TT it was going to sit in-line after the abs module before it splits off left & right. can i T the brake lines together then separate them afterwards? (sorry if i've said a stupid thing) trying to save money as the TT projects on the back burner until the NA's on the road.
  14. really nice zed you have there, good to see what a set of Hanzo dotz look like on a zed as im in the middle of refurnishing a set for mine.
  15. yeah that would have been perfect. though i had a spare cat back in my garage just checked today and its no good...
  16. i have a '95 NA LWB manual and it needs a complete exhaust system really, can you get the uprated exhaust manifolds anywhere in the uk? and i have a set of decats left over from my TT, which we are going to modify to take sports cats, as technically it should have cats. but i want pics/ videos of what everyone has in the way of cat backs,??? my TT has a very loud system on it, so don't want anything too loud as its a daily drive. so what can people recommend? got to still be available to buy somewhere lol.
  17. think that might be the ugliest 300zx ever...
  18. it was first registered in 2003 lol... well the body shop gave their prognosis today, they've given me a price so it goes in tomorrow for the work, having all the rust sorted, fabricating new sills etc, they are sorting the bubbling arches out, and refitting the S2 spoiler, and sorting a couple of other marks out. should be a nice zed once done. then it goes next door to get under sealed, and then back to me for some other little bits and its MOT, after all this its still a sub £1K zed, but it will be a dam sight better then some of the ebay rejects that go for the same money. (i hope lol) its borrowing the TTs exhaust, as the engineering shop want to fabricate one for the forged engine after i showed them some pictures of the labree systems in the states... lol.
  19. that's plan B, but the engine im building for the TT is a fairly high HP lump, so wanted an NA as a daily drive, i cant hate Zeds its the look of disgust and shock as i pull one onto the ramp at work that makes me smile every time...
  20. thanks for the tips :thumbup1: i've got a TT with a blown engine in in the middle of rebuilding, the thought had crossed my mind to start scavenging bits from it, as its pretty solid. once its done it will be getting fully under-sealed, the engine sump had rusted as well, its almost like this zeds been swimming at one point or another. been over the rest of it with a fine tooth comb, well the mechanics have been, and then winding me up about it... it looks bad but its not dead yet, and i've wanted an S2 NA manual for a while so im just about still smiling...:hang:
  21. opened a can of worms here, handbrakes shot, and is binding the rear wheels, rust is deeper then expected, suspension need some attention, and the exhaust has hose clamps on it to stop it rattling... on the plus side it has a nice sump now, no more leaking. have got nothing but stick all day about it though... pictures here for the sadists among us lol o/s/r n/s wheel well
  22. by the look of it its going to needs a new exhaust sooner or later, wanted to leave it std but the OE exhaust systems are stupid money, is there any reason i cant put tt exhaust system on it? dudging by the state of it might need everything, manifolds down pipes and catback, its a 95 so will need cats unfortunatly
  23. bit of a bad day today, got my new daily drive NA zed into the workshop to get the new sump fitted, and its rotten, spent the last week drying it out and fixing the targa leak, the dodgy wiring, and getting new tyres, no idea what its going to cost. its going to need an the entire N/S sill redone, and there's a strange rust hole in the front wheel well and the OS rear section of the sill is 90% pug... its still on the ramp at work so the bodyshop guys are coming to look at it, need them to repair a couple of panels too as i want to restore this one, (black TT is the toy and can be covered in glitter lol), only driven it from one car park to the other on trade plates, but love it cant believe i've been driving auto zed for the last few years. its going to be repaired was just shocked how its 5 years newer then my TT but so much rustier...??? has anyone had their zed welded how much should i be paying? (just for the record not regretting my purchase, cant wait to get it roadworthy )
  24. why i love imports the rule governing their plates is more slack. both of mine have the smaller square plate on the front,
  25. that's great, good find couldn't have a bigger sign lol.
