  1. the ones i've seen look really tacky on a zed, but i cant talk when i've got the funds im getting an VIS vented carbon bonnet from the states, thers loads on the AUS and US sites who've fitted vents, or vented bonnets
  2. id have to either dent the bulk head, or cut the flange off and weld a new bit on. its no where near, the old decats fit perfect though, i only wanted the silencers lol. already spoke to japspeed, aparently it dosn't happen, only difference is auto-manual and lwb-swb, so i wanted ask, sending them pictures as well. its just hassle as spent my lunch break today with it on one of our ramps fighting rusty bolts ...:glare:
  3. my new exhuast turned up today, really happy, japspeed silenced dewnpipes and cat back, cat back fits perfect, however the drivers side pipe is hitting the bulkhead, and can't be tighted up, any one ever had this problem? its a '95 NA manual, the passanger side fits perfect.
  4. apart from the incident, looks like a good day out, i've got to make sure i go to the round at brands hatch this year. glad there was no injury's.
  5. went and found where id left it, been sitting at a mates since the snow, :blushing:, gave it a clean and took the exhaust off ready for my new japspeed bits to show up.
  6. bobgenie's zed has the painted ones, looks good on his zed imo
  7. love it jdm with muscle car heart
  8. tomomontana you have pm. had forgotten about slick pete's zed, saw that on the track at trax, remember thinking it was a TT it was so quick.
  9. has anyone done any track time, or prepared an Na as a track car? my plan was always to use the na as a daily drive and fix up the dead tt as a track car, but i sold the TT to buy a SWB shell, which turned out to be beyond saving so only have my NA, which isn't getting used as im riding to and from work. i used to do alot of track and drift sessions back when i had a 200sx, been looking at adjustable suspension and big brake conversions etc. just wondered what everyone opinion would be on an Na track car? i just love the way my Na drives and handles, its a '95 lwb Na, and it would have to remain road legal, should i do it or get rid and buy a TT again? whats everyone think?
  10. what colour is it out of interest, we've seen a few skyline recently, you could be as lucky as just needs a new battery, a consult check should help find the fault, tbh with an old skyline like that your best getting a mechanic to go with you.
  11. haha i've been with ADL racing for years so ...(ADL) and my names Ash, and i managed to set fire to my old 200sx whilst driving to a show, after repairing it at the side of the road and then taking it round the track later the same day, the car got the nickname the phoenix, and it stuck.
  12. at least im not the only one, my poor zeds stuck half way up a hill in haywards heath lol, took me 2 hours to do the 10 min trip home, (and the zed only made it half way )

  14. though had crossed my mind, or zcentre do silenced decatts i've just noticed.
  15. technically in the MOT book it does say a car must not produce an excessive noise over factory, not that any MOT centre i've been too care. they said something along the lines of a S. 59, but as i wasn't driving stupidly i got a warning and he advised i changed it. (or at least keep it out of residential areas late at night.
  16. bungs made no difference at all lol, and the current system does set off car alarms and i've already had a telling off by a police man... ... i think i'll invest in a mongoose cat-back just got to chose what tail pipes i want now, ovals or twin....
  17. dam, think thats the problem im going to have, the exhaust that's on it sounded great on my old TT, ok it was still loud but no where near as bad as it is on the NA... maybe id be best going to power flow and getting a custom system...
  18. saw them on zcentre, they have silencers in them so guess they would be quieter, anyone got them? that can give me their opinion of them?
  19. can anyone recommend a subtle exhaust that wont compromise power too much? what are the japspeed ones like? its for an NA so will be louder then a TT just finished repairing the zed after the crash, and the first time ever i don't really want to drive it any more. starting to feel really stupid with what sounds like a gang of harleys following me everywhere, its getting looks for the wrong reasons, between that and the Bee-R limiter on it (which my colleagues keep changing to 2,000rpm when im not looking :glare:) its getting a bit of a reputation that needs to change.
  20. had them on my black zed, compared to the regular non elbow decats they made no noticeable difference to the noise my zed made, but it did seem to spool slightly quicker.
  21. question for you all, can you fit a TT rad into an NA? ended up in a hedge yesterday after some **** clipped the back and its going to need a new rad as a branch went through it, ******* didn't stop either, and the police are useless so dout they catch him the bodyshop are going the rest of the repairs fairly cheap, luckly i have a spare bumper or 2 lol, but i have an alloy TT rad siting in my garage and want to know if i can make it fit?
  22. nothing was buzzing, should it be? never had anything like this before.
  23. thanks, found the inverter and the dimmer, they appeared to be connected ok, but its the wires on the dials that are a mess, but none of them light up so its probably a bigger problem, so i was going to try and re wire the whole system, failing that are they just stuck to they normally stuck to the old dials could i just remove them in theory?
  24. has anyone got any they could scan and send me? worked out my dash doesn't light up because the silly things are blocking the OE dash lights, so need to try and get them working, but they are a mess of various wires and connectors so and wiring diagrams / instructions anyone has would be great. making do with the bltiz R-vit instead of a rev counter, but not being able to see fuel or speed at night is getting annoying.
  25. master techs just said the common thing to cause the noise is the lower steering column bushes, first thing is to spray with oil then to replace by the sounds of it,
