  2. Awesome dude, I`ve been boarding every year for 10 years with the lads and LOVE IT!!! 1st time this year i`m not going as no money left, but that looks superb, Virgin powder!! put some more pics up mate, I need my fix Daz.
  3. Just letting you peeps know my first manual voyage was superb!!! Fu***n HELL its quick!! what a difference the manual box makes, spun the rears in 3rd and I was taking it easy! Too excited to put the bonnet back on, so took her out for a gentle 15 mins, very worried waiting for something to fall off, then felt a bit more confident and give it some throttle and shes off like a rocket!! The prop is vibrating like a T**t at 50mph, but I noticed the centre rubber was goosed when putting it back, so i need a new rubber or prop or 1 piece prop!! So i`m really chuffed with myself as i have never attempted anything like this before, and with help from you guys it made it so much easier, so thanks I`ve got a big shopping list of to do`s now, so i better get saving! Daz
  4. Glad to have been part of it, Thanks for the invite. Daz ;)
  5. Cheers Baz, yes bud, i have just fitted decats but the stainless pipes under the car had been cut off a long time ago? maybe it was faulty! Nice one bud, another small weight saving measure done!!! Thanks Guys ;)
  6. Cheers Dave, should i just rip the cat sensor out? as they are not attached to anything? Daz:bow:
  7. Hi Guys, I have 2 small questions, I know the answers to, but just checking! 1. What do i do with my autobox oil cooler and pipes now that i have gone manual? 2. Small black box under centre console behind hand brake with 2 stainless pipes coming out and going into transmission tunnel, whats it for? Thankyou Daz. :winkiss:
  8. Hi Bud, do you have an older style steering wheel to put back? as i will do you a swap if you want? Daz.
  9. Cheers Baz, I just need a nice knob to change gear now, do you know where i can get one from!! Daz
  10. Well I`m nearly done!! I would have been 100% done if the bloody braded clutch line would have turned up from e-bay, but no show :cursing: So after some advise from redbaron, I tilted the engine backwards by jacking the crank pully and the engine moved on its mounts just enough to slide the gearbox on, and slid it did, easy, and on my own, 1 hour later it was bolted up and ready for prop and exhausts! :hammer: A bit of messing is needed to seperate the props and swap them about, but no problems there. :hammer: But one big f**k up was the thickness of the starter plates. I was informed they needed to be 5mm thick, but i found out after trying to start the car they are too thick and only needed to be about 2/3mm, it sounded like a percussion drill when i cranked the car!! Anyways the interior is almost back together and just the clutch line to put on and bleed and i`m back on the road. Thanks for everyones help and support through my transformation, I cant wait to test it!! :hyper: Just hope the box is ok
  11. The Gearbox is in!!!!!! ye harrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Thanks to redbarons technical help line !!!!! cheers Phil, just a few connections and i`m on the road again:dance: Daz
  12. Wow !! intersting, my broadband is crap, always 1.8 never any higher, my dad lives round the corner and gets 7.1 all day long. I`ve spoke to BT and they say I`m the furthest from the exchange so will never get any better  I might give them a call about the i-plate!! Cheers for that DaZ
  13. You should have parked next to him Daz
  14. Spot on bud, I`ve had a chat with one of the lads on the forum and thats exacly what he said, the easiest way is to jack the front crank pulley gently and that lowers the back of the engine making the angle of the engine line up with the box. Cheers Mate Daz
  15. Just seen this:thumbup:, I like them bald though :tt2:
  16. Nice one bud! I was a little worried for a bit then! Daz.
  17. Yeh i know bud, will it be ok for a few months?? I will be getting my light flywheel then and will change all the gaskets then, I just wanna see if this box is ok first!! Hope so :whistling: DaZ ;)

  20. No Bud, I cant even get the spline into the clutch plate section, The gearbox bellhousing is hitting on the tunnel  To be honest, I think tommorrow with 2 of us it should be a lot easier Have you any tips for me for getting it in?? :punk: Cheers Mucker!! Daz:thumbup:
  21. Well today, I went to Nissan Wallasey to collect my spigot bearing and set to work on the old one, to my surprise it came out very easy, I was amazed as i wasnt looking forward to getting it out!! Next I fitted the flywheel back on, got the clutch and plate on easy peasy BUT..... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I spent 3 f-in hours trying to get to box on, and still havent done it!!:headvswal Its half an inch from going in and wont got any further!!! I`ve left it now till the morning, when my mate is calling round to give me a hand, I must admit i think with 2 people it should fly on!!:punk: So really close now, one thing i am annoyed about is e-bay!! I ordered a braded clutch line on Tuesday and it hasnt arrived yet!! so cant test tommorrow even if i do get the box back on. Daz :D
  22. Nice work Iain Knight, That looks a great tool!! I found the spigot bearing really easy to get out!! Less than 30 seconds for me with a chisel and hammer, I must have been lucky i suppose. Thanks for that mate Daz.
  23. Hi, I phoned Nissan Crosby (Liverpool) to order my bushing for the gearbox this morning and have to say they were VERY helpful!! They didnt have one in stock so i had to go to Wallasey to collect, but for your information the part number has changed; from 32202-b9500 to 32202-7F401 The new part fitted perfect and meant i could carry on with my conversion. The new bushing cost me £5.01 Regards Daz.
