The crane is my ex bosses, its been stood in his yard for 2 years and never been used in all that time, it was effortless with it How long should it take for a pro to do prop, box and engine out?? Daz.

Have you been messing around behind the clocks?? Both my zeds do this, but only after i have messed around changing bulbs or changing the faces to indiglo? Its something to do with the progressive steering i think, maybee groover will shed some light for us?

Well another day and another goal for me in my quest to know everything about my zeds!! I`m lucky enough to have 2 scrappers to practice on, so then eventually i can do most tasks to fix my car. So on Saturday in the pis*ing rain i once agian jacked the car up on axel stands and attempted to remove prop shaft, auto box and then the engine!! For those who have a little mechanical knowhow i had a fuc*** nightmare! I rounded one of the 4 bolts that attaches the flywheel to the tourqe converter!! :sad: and it took me over 3 hours to get it off, i had to cut the bellhousing and then angle grind the bolt off :scared: luckily i have a goosed auto box so i can use the bellhousing from that one. The engine came out effortlessly and i was very surprised how easy it was. i started at 10.30 am and eventually finished at about 4pm despite the set back, So i am made up that is another goal for me. So next goal is to rebuild an engine :1eye:

Yeh , I totally agree, what a mess it looks when you pop the hood?? I wonder why, all that money spent? Shame

Hi Ste, welcome to the club mate, 3k should get a pretty decent 300zx but it will be far from mint, Autos are generally a bit cheaper as are n/a (non turbo) ,The Twin turbo`s go for the most money especially manual versions, and then there are Short whel base, slicktops and convertables. Take your time choosing the right one and check for rust underneath and bad welding jobs, smokey engines and rattles!! If your looking for a fast car then you need to go for the Twin turbo as your Vectra would probably be quicker than an N/A. You will find some great examples on the forum for sale and if i were buying another i would definaltley buy from here. I`m only in Southport so if you see any near by, then i could have a look with you and give you some pointers. This was my favorite 80`s toy! Race and chase!! 2 cars, 1 police car and i think the other was a corvette and a tilt bridge :batman: Go over the bridge it tilts and the othercar smashes into it!!!!! Awesome :cool3:

Wow, I love Aus, I drove the entire length of the East coast in a Toyota Hiace camper van a few years ago with my Girlfriend, We had the best time ever! Flight to Lizard Island and swam with sharks/Dolphins in the sea, Barrier reef scuba, surfing in surfers paradise, 3 day boat cruise around the Whitsundays, 4x4 adventure on Fraser island, Bungee in Cairns, bridge climb in Sydney just to name a few, absolutley stunning place mate, Have a great time ,I know you will Daz.
