  6. Thankyou you everyone for all your kind messages. As ever ,they are all very much appreciated. Really sorry not posted for ages and ages but will give you a full update in next few days. Best wishes to you all.
  7. Hope you get your wife sorted soon mate.Best wishes from us all. Really does your head in when you see your loved ones suffering. Likes been said you get good and bad Dr's but I must admit I have felt in the past years with different family members with the exception of Harry, they can't get you out of the surgery quick enough.Like the old saying goes "the squeaky wheel gets fixed first". So you keep on at them. All the best
  8. As you know we went to Birmingham for results of PET scan and ct scan today, unfortunately it was not what we hoped for. Still active area so Harry has to have radiotherapy (which we'd all so hoped he wouldnt have to). Can't explain how we're all feeling, especially Harry as he so hoped it was all over.He wanted to go on a Holiday to Tenby thats been organised in June and looking forward to swimming etc. He's put a brave face on it,but when your a parent you just know how its broke his heart as he thought he would have had his central line removed.(with the line in ,no swimming). My emotions are all over the place,so angry (why is it you get such tossers in the world, who sail through life without a problem and then you get little kids who have done no wrong to anyone and they have to suffer). Sorry how I must sound, just life seems so unfair. Will post again when I get myself together a bit. All the best to you all.
  9. Reposted this in here aswell as in club announcements as I hope that everyone concerned receives the credit and thankyou you all deserve : ATHENE :Absolute Star. We would all like to say firstly a "VERY SPECIAL THANKYOU" to Athene for being so caring and taking the trouble to use her time and effort to make such a lovely thing happen.Athene truly deserves recognition for being one very kind and special person that knows how to make a difference.I'm sure we all agree on that though. Can't THANKYOU enough Athene. As above "A VERY SPECIAL THANKYOU" to every single one of you that has sent messages and donated, etc, etc. All of your kindness and generosity has made us all very emotional (proved to us there truly are kind & caring people in the world). What you've all done has made such an impact for Harry and us.We wouldn't have been able to afford a PS3 etc.Through what he's going through,to have this to look forward to kept his thoughts focused and now having received it he is so "HAPPY" (so this obviously makes us so happy seeing him like this). When he's on it,you can tell he escapes all the horrible stuff and goes in to his own little carefree world and this is worth its weight in gold. Harry had his big P E T scan last Thursday in Birmingham where he was injected with radioactive liquid and we go this Thursday for the results. We will keep you updated. So once again "THE BIGGEST THANKYOU EVER" this club and members are second to non.All your kindness will never be forgotten. Will be in touch (sure Harry will be on soon!) You all take care John,Sarah, little Jasmine(6) and of course Harry(9).

  11. Harry went to have his central line flushed today. There was a bit of redness where the stitch that secures the line was so they removed it.Harry say's it feels better now as it seemed to be pulling. Had his bloods took and readings low so have to be really carefull now (if drop any lower by next Wednesday he may need transfusion,"hope not".) Big P E T scan on Thursday 24th,then appointment on 1st May with main consultant to discuss the results and what happens from then.(horrible waiting & not knowing). Harry is really looking forward to getting his PS3 & goodies he's so excited and when he found out you were making him an honoury member aswell he was absolutely over the moon. To say he was well chuffed would be an under statement. As has been said before "This is one special club, with exceptionally kind and caring people." "I'm very proud to be a member and Harry will be too!" Everybody take care and I'll be in touch.
  12. Thankyou for your best wishes, much appreciated.
  13. Cheers Mate, Much appreciated by us all.
  14. Sent this to Athene earlier, but just to let you all know : Harry bit low at the moment, moods very unpredictable, which is understandable but very upsetting at times. He'll be at hospital tomorrow for his 4hr chemo session which usually means us being there about 6 hours,so he's not looking forward to that. Also getting worked up about his ct scan in Birmingham on Monday as he is worrying about having the canula as they really hurt him last time with not using the numbing cream. (going to take some with us from Shrewsbury Hospital to apply ourselves). While we're there we have got to see another consultant to discuss radiotherapy,as depending on the up and coming scan results he may need it (hoping and praying he won't). Thanks ever so much for sorting all the stuff for Harry. Harry sends a really big THANKYOU to everyone. You all look after yourselves and I'll keep you posted.
  15. Thanks SMW1, Once again thankyou to you and everyone for your generosity and kindness. As for kicking my butt at the racing games (believe me I don't think I'd have a hope in hell against him). All the best mate,John. By the way Harry & me think your motors mint. Very nice !
  16. Thanks Stu, Very much appreciated, all the best . John.
  17. Thankyou to everyone for your overwhelming support and generosity, as said before it will never be forgotten.Thankfully Harry has been and is being very brave with the whole situation. He's just finished another 6 days of chemo. He goes back this Thursday for a session given by syringe push in clinic then a week off.The following Thursday he will have a 4 hr chemo session then following that we will be travelling to Birmingham on different dates for CT scan,PET scan, radiotherapy consultation, etc.His consultant says he may need further chemo (2 blocks) and radiotherapy, but this will all depend on the scan results. So just hoping that the results are good when we have the tests.Horrible having to keep waiting and wondering. Thanks for everything and you all look after yourselves. Will keep you posted.
  18. Thanks for that mate, you obviously know your stuff, all I really know is that the 60GB is the way to go or failing that as you say an 80GB.May seek your advise in the future if thats ok. Cheers.
  19. Hi Andy, Yep 275/30/19 rear and 235/35/19 front. But to be honest ,think I should have had 245 on front to take the tyre nicely to the edge of the wheel.
  20. Thanks Ade, Really appreciate yours and everyone elses best wishes and kindness. All the best.
  21. Hi, My sig pic below is of 19's on a swb I used to own .Also more in my rides section.Hope it helps.
  22. Sorry not posted earlier.Thursday took it's toll on all of us such a long day.Arrived at hospital at 10:35 am & didn't leave till 7:05pm by the time everything had been sorted as the chemo was late + only going through at 70ml/hr .Really knocked Harry about,he's still so tired even now.Finished his steroids now,so 2 weeks off for him apart from bloods being taken on Thursday and his central line being checked and flushed.Well this is what we're hoping as now we're trying to keep him isolated as much as possible to avoid infection.Family reluctant to visit due to colds + we've heard that there's a bug causing diarrhoea going around.(Last thing he need's). Anyway I'll keep in touch but at the mo ,I must admit it's drained me,so God knows how Harry must feel. Thanks everyone and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
  23. Thanks mate, glad your sister's well, she must have really gone through it,as we have been warned that being exposed to chicken pox would be really bad. Like you say treatment has really moved on Thank God. Believe me we're so thankfull for the hospital and the Dr's and nurses, who are all being fantastic. All the best.
  24. Sorry to hear your news Jon. You must be shell shocked and not know where to put yourself, especially with the little one involved. All I can say is, I know first hand that all on here will be there for you,to try in what ever way they can to help you through the bad times. It really helps to have somewhere to vent your problems. I'm no expert mate, but things sometimes do turn around when you think there isn't a glimmer of hope. Which ever way it goes,I hope the outcome turns out to be what makes you happy in the end. Wish you all the best.
  25. Cheers mate.Yep at the time you were passing by. You wouldn't have noticed us being in a P reg rover diesel ! Harry been in a lot less pain today (Thank God). Long day for him tomorrow and then his 2 week break from it.Hoping & praying he doesn't pick up an infection or any other problems in this time. Will let you all know how things are going. All the best.
