Few days ago wife was borrowing my car and managed to get into a bit of a race with what she described as i red boy race car which was possibly a peugeot. Now she complained that she was unable to shake this car, but also she said the acceleration of the zed was very scarey fast. Now car was running 5psi which it does when boost controller switched off, so 1. Do i show her how to operate it and thus have 15psi boost next time,so not to embaress a zed against a pug or 2. She was scared at 5psi, lets just take the embaressment that some kid is probally boasting how he whipped my car on the chin and keep her away from the power.

or the engine insullation has been removed an it was raining, my bonnet has a lovelt hase off it in the rain after hard driving

mine was the 2 hoses at backof engine connecting the heater. thought car was on fire first time as i was in the petrol station paying fo fuel.

well i now drive a 3.0 senator to work to save on fuel lol

why you may ask..... i shall explain. Ive owned several sports cars in my past and enjoyed them all, if they went wrong id stick em in a garage and get them sorted. if they needed a service i would stick them in a garage and get them done. then i bought a 300zx, it was a basket case but i didnt know,i got her serviced and payed an fortune all of mymoney at that time. then the gbox went and the 1000 bill to sort was far more than i had. shunter said to me get a gearbox and he would fit it. i got a gearbox and we spent the weekend in his back yard with axel stands and jacks installing my gearbox into my zed. the box turned out to be as shite as the one before but there is a big point here. suddenly i has the confidence to at least attempt some work on my car without resorting to a garage. I started low with an oil change and felt so chuffed with what i had done. i then had a go at fitting my bumper myself and again i was chuffed with the result. since then i service my own car,my wifes car and my work car myself saving a fortune. Ive replaced the suspension on both a carlton and a citroen xantia, ive fitted dump valves,koyo rad, electrical guages, boost controllers and rear seat belts. this not may sound much,but before i could not even put up a shelf. people like shunter are the reason im still here,i hate the crap posts about *****x,but 1 thing this site has over anything is knowledge and it rubs off.

yep picking up an tidy 24v ex police 24v senator soon. picking up a 2.6 carlton on monday, but i know somebody with the police senny that can no longer drive manuals,so gonna swap my auto carlton for the manual senator. On the plus side i service my zed today and when i took itout for a test drive it felt awesome again. the lack of bottom end power had gone and the gbox changed smooth. all i did was change the oil and adjust the idle. after thinking about it in more depth, the main bug bears with my car have been the lack low down grunt and the stupid autobox. i think the first point was my own fault for leaving oil changes too long and the second can be cured by saving up for a manual conversion. i did actaully enjoy my car today as the smoking has stopped also. though me and the wife had a big row half way through as it appears she has binned my oil sanwich plate along with the oil pressure and temp senders that were attached to it. :(

today i did an oil change, was going to change the plugs but could not find my spark plug socket.

i was thinking of a camero as its in my price range, if looked to sell my car before but have changed my mind as i felt it was too much of a heap of shite to sell. apart from the paintwork, she now upto a level that will sell. i dont think i have ever been truly happy with my car, i like auto's but the nissan auto is shite and really spoils the car imo. even with a Fast Road upgrade, the box is crap when tootling along and seems to only be smooth and presice when you rant it, maybe thats the thing with an uprated box,its built as its says FAST ROAD. i find myself only wanting to drive my zed agressive, which mean its really no more than an expensive toy. i want a car that i can enjoy driving normal and has a great sound still when i do feel in the mood to open her up.

hmm i do like american, i was thinking german too like a porsche 928, due to sound and presence.

Seriously considering selling my Nissan 300zx a car that was exatly to my taste when i bought it. fast, wide,loud but i getting bored of it. now normally i would then sell it and buy something quicker again, but im starting to loose the all out thrill of speed.. my nissan is probally 350bhp plus and i recorded 0-60times of under 5secs on my gtec pro, ive spent a fortune tuning it and now........ im finding it hard to justify owning it. Im 32 so not so old, but find the big reason i bought my car being avalible else where, without the pure brute force. Im talking about 6 cyl engines, i just love the sound of them, but the big difference between my vauxhall senator and my zed is no chaved up twat wants to race you in a senny. Im one of those who tends to see red mist if somebody has a go and so sticks the loud peddle to the floor, but im thinking now that if i sell it then i can own an imacculate senny,with the 6 cyl growl and the comfort and the complete lackof need to show everybody that im the king of the road. Yep i conculde im getting old........

i thought normal running temp is from about 60 degrees as thats when the heater blowers come on properly.

165 was my best and tbh the car would have gave more but my bottle would not of. i think anything over 120 starts to feel scarey in any car, never been above 80 on uk motorways though as always full of other cars and bad drivers. plus i want to keep 0 points on my licence

i cant even get mine to hit 80 degrees.
