  6. for the money i reckon its worth chucking in a bottle of the lucas stop slip when changing over the fluid, dont overfill the box of course, did my change on the driveway with engine running and in gear, its a fiddle at first but then very easy, you have to chock the wheels and have handbrake on of course...pull off the gearbox feed line that goes to the cooler/rad and point into a large deep tray (fluid comes out with some speed so be careful)....as you run in gear the old cr@p will flow out at the same time keep pouring the new in through the filler pipe....you'll see the colour change after a few bottles and know you have replaced all the old with nice new fluid etc...ideally get a mate to help :D aha just saw your post...ok well any atf from motor factors will do most will exceed dexronII etc

  9. they are very bad right now, funny story i recall from history on the state of british roads from @1700's it was a submission to parliament on the very poor condition...it went something like this...."whilst riding from london to york i witnesses the deepest potholes and ruts i've ever seen...i stopped to pick up a hat which was left in the middle of the road and to my surprise there was a man under it...sitting on his horse!"....:D
  10. hello and all that....well for £3k i'd get the best non turbo (n/a) zed that you can for £1000 and stick the rest in the bank :D

  13. wharf plumbing have been a limited company for 40 years, not a bad pedigree, phone them direct on http://www.wharfplumbing.co.uk/ still cant see proper cost savings on this product, i'd think 20 jumpers for your family brought from Primarni cost £40 and make you feel a lot warmer at home :)
  14. over £1000 more like £1500 if i recall
  15. haha true....sure beats some probing around fat guy from texas.....as most ufo reports often are

  18. i think the problem lies with many manufacturers making the same critical part fit the entire range, they do it to reduce costs of course, but if you get it wrong and the part fails the effect is across the entire range and costs are huge in putting it right not to mention the loss of trust by the buying public
  19. old skool....cheap fun summer car looks in good nick be careful as the owner isnt sure if its a 8V or a 16V :D
  20. this reminds me that my bro-in law gave my eldest son a guitar a couple of years back... we went to a music shop a few months later to get my son a new one/upgrade with some birthday money...the shop owner said what you got now...my son said a tanglewood something or other...turns out they are quality and good money guitars and not worth upgrading unless you're spending £1000's...very nice of the shop owner not to sell us something for the hell of it http://www.tanglewoodguitars.co.uk/
  21. these are non-exclusive syndication deals, they get a better rate as they have taken the policy off the hands of the insurance co possibly with a package of other policies, if you phone them direct you get the FOff quote etc
